A sophisticated restaurant in the midst of so much tourist fodder. They combine modern Italian food, specialising in lagoon fish with reinterpretations of old Venetian dishes. We were well-looked after by the Italian, Spanish, French, English speaking waiter who also navigated us through an extensive and excellent wine list. I had turbot with baby artichokes with a carrot + orange pudding. The fish and artichokes were beautifully done but the orange was maybe a little too intense. All courses were preceded by interesting and tasty amuse-bouches et pres-desserts. I did end with a large and alcoholic tiramisu — but it was our first night!
