This place is great. Whatever the music issue other reviewers have had has been solved I think. Either that or previous reviewers don’t know what«gangster rap» is. The music was more Electronica in nature and actually changed(oddly) to something resembling the American Country genre by the evening’s end. But, as it should be, the volume was also really low so you hardly notice it. Moving on to the main experience, the ambiance of this place was perfect, low key, slightly hip but not overwhelming or pretentious. The wait staff was solid. Very professional and attentive. The only minor issue was the rapidity with which the first waiter took our order. He seemed in a huge hurry. Other than that, service was spot on. The food was above average considering that you can encounter so much bad tourist food in Venice. Every dish I sampled with my party was really well done. The tenderloin(with Gorgonzola) was the best I’ve had here and yet half the cost of fancy places on the island where you’d expect a high quality tenderloin. The mozzarella was more tender in texture and creamier in flavor than I’ve found elsewhere in Venice. The light pesto drizzled on it was superb. Finally, the chocolate soufflé was amazing. It was actually not quite a soufflé(it lacked the airy texture characteristic of a proper soufflé) but still a fantastic dessert if you like chocolate. Overall a great experience, perhaps the best(or at least top 3) of 20 meals I’ve had in Venice.

We ate here for lunch outside in the patio area. We started off with the meat and cheese plates which were great, followed by the prosciutto pizza and octopus pasta. Everything was very good, the wine pours were a bit small but very inexpensive so we didn’t mind

We went here for my birthday. I made a reservation and they seated us right away. the restaurant is really cute inside. It had an intimate vibe and it was dimly lit but you can see where you are. The waiters are very helpful and attentive. We had a half liter of white wine. We ordered the buffalo milk mozzarella cheese with three different tomatoes. Everything tasted fresh and was amazing. I ordered the spaghetti alle vongole. They had a good amount of clams. The pasta was al dente. Everything tastes fresh. We had to order dessert afterwards. We got the cake of the day and panacotta. It was so good and not too sweet. Everything was great here. I’d come back here whenever I return to Venice. I’d recommend this place.

My husband and I tried to stop for dinner twice when returning back to our hotel after a long day of Venetian sightseeing. There were plenty of tables and the restaurant didn’t indicate it required reservations anywhere. Both times(Friday 9pm and Saturday 6pm) we were turned away by the same waiter. What’s that about? Do not recommend. Something’s not right here.

I stopped here for lunch based on the good reviews. I had a very good pizza, and a very small serving of pasta — which was excellent. A nice change from the touristy places near St Marks Square.

Alright I would say. Venice isn’t known for great great food and this place is par for the course. Cool ambiance but terrible music. I thought I was at a club, not at a dinner. The pizza was good but not great, I’ve had better pizza in Venice. Good pizza is pretty easy to find in Venice. My husband really enjoyed his dish and would probably give this place 4 stars though since he loved his sea bass.

Venice is a city made for wandering. It is a place to get lost and happen upon a place. That was La Rosa Rossa for us, one afternoon, looking for lunch(and our hotel) and just stopping in here. They led us to the back with tables and chairs set up outside and near one of the canals. We ordered pizza and enjoyed the sights and food. Can’t say it was the best food I ate in Italy, but the vibe of the place, the food and location were great. If I could find it again, I would go back!

This place was not far from our hotel. It was packed when we came so we came back a little later. We were seated immediately. We ordered mussels as an appetizer as well as a bottle of wine. The mussels and clam mix were good but could have used some soft bread. For my entrée, I wanted to try the local favorite… cuttlefish. Please see my picture. It was served with black squid ink. On the side, grilled polenta. Don’t let the presentation fool you! If you like calamari, then you will be fine! We had crème brûlée for dessert and it was fabulous! I would go back! The setting is quaint and the music was a plus!

After a day of wandering around Venice and getting utterly lost, we were trying to find our way back to our hotel and find a place nearby to eat. We wandered by here and the smell of the food just pulled us in. I had the Pizza Diavolo and it was really good. The crust was good and the diavolo was crisp. Service was good and I thought they prices were relatively cheap for everything we got. Off the beaten path, so definitely a little quieter than a lot of the places you’ll find.

If you are debating which pizza place to try this is the one for you! Off the beaten path and not touristy! We tried Antico Forno(#1 rated) earlier in the day and was very let down and disappointed(see review). If you enjoy spice try the Inferno pie(pepperoni, onions, chili sauce). ** Update: the pizza was so good we ordered a second pie — this time buffalo mozzarella — amazing! Highly recommended. Buffalo was so fresh. Crust thin and crispy.

I’m in Venice for a few nights and stumbled upon this charming spot. The food was better than the so-called fine dining that the hotel recommended. Even better, the staff were wonderful, especially for a solo traveler. I shared a glass of wine and stories with my waiter and felt at home here. Whole sea bass filleted for me was perfection. 2009 Barolo didn’t hurt. Cheers to the Rosa Rossa family

Rosa Rossa was recommended highly for lunch by our hotel host. The service was attentive and the waiter spoke excellent English. We had pasta dishes, both of which were fresh and full of flavor. The ambience was really pleasant except for the music — The Doors, Van Halen, Paul McCartney — usually love it but not in this Venetian restaurant. We’d go back.

Love this place! It was our favorite on Venice! We actually ate there twice! The service is great, the food is delicious and the price is very reasonable. We ate inside and outside and both were great atmospheres! This is a can’t miss place!

One of our favorite spots in all of Venice. The vibe is more modern than most but the food is just as good. While not exceptional, it was great for the price point and service. It is also good for drinks and a chill bad experience with light snacks as the list of $ 4 drinks at about 10. The crowd is mixed but was always full. It is along a busy path but a good spot to try!

Great service and nice décor. I had the rigatoni with sausage, which was really tasty. The house wine was really good. I had the panna cotta for dessert. It’s not a cheap place, like all the other restaurants in Venice, but the taste of the food and good service makes you forget about the price! I will be back next year for sure.

Pizza was quite good but a little on the heavy side for me. We dropped in for a late lunch on a saturday on our final day in Venice. Nice décor going in here, worth a stop if your up for pizza in venice, all though the best we came across during our trip to italy was in Rome. Side note, I thought I left my phone in the restaurant and came back for it and didn’t see it at our table. The staff was very accommodating to help find it offering to call the number to see if it would ring, It ended up being in my back pocket so crisis averted but the effort was appreciated.

Ce resto à la déco assez moderne se démarque des autres restos de Venise plus classiques. Possédant déjà une bonne note Unilocalique, je m’y suis rendue, persuadée de bien y manger. Le cadre est agréable, le service un peu speed car il y a du monde. La carte est vaste, surtout question pizza: trop de choix, tue le choix. On se rabat donc sur les pâtes. Grosse déception… les lasagnes bolognaises arrivent, mais ce n’en sont pas… elles sont à la crème et aux champignons(et c’était bof)! Le serveur aurait pu prévenir, comme il m’a prévenu que les raviolis ricotta épinards nétaient pas là ce soir. Bref, j’ai horreur de passer du temps à choisir un plat pour qu’on me dise qu’il n’y en a pas! Au final, c’était pas mauvais mais bon. Je pense que les pizzas valent le coup. Celles de la table voisine avaient l’air pas mal;

DASISTEINSPITZENRESTAURANTZUSUPERPREISEN.
