Hotel Mignon

Pour notre séjour à Venise, je souhaitais absolument être dans le centre, pour vraiment profiter de l’ambiance de la ville et né pas passer mon temps dans les bus entre la terre ferme et l’île ou dans les bateaux.
J’ai fouillé partout pour trouver un hôtel qui corresponde à mes prix et avec une salle de bain privée dans la chambre. Banco, celui-​ci avec un chouette nom, un site internet accueillant, des tarifs abordables et des photos qui donnent envie.
Mon premier contact fut de payer en ligne, sauf que bien sûr ça né peut pas être simple avec moi. Ainsi donc, j’avais dépassé mon plafond d’achats sur la semaine et la carte n’est pas passée. Eh bien figurez-​vous que le gentil monsieur de l’hôtel, au coeur de Venise, m’a envoyé un mail pour me prévenir que ça né passait pas et qu’il gardait la chambre pour moi le temps que je trouve un autre moyen de paiement. Le lendemain c’était réglé. J’ai trouvé cette attention vraiment agréable, parce que ce né sont pas des machines qui sont là-​bas mais bien des vraies personnes.
Arrivés sur place, l’hôtel est tout mignon (d’où son nom ?) et le personnel super accueillant. Marco, à l’accueil, nous a montré notre chambre, expliqué le fonctionnement de l’hôtel, proposé de régler la température de la chambre et nous a donné un plan de la ville, nous indiquant les lieux à né pas manquer et où trouver les arrêts de Vaporetto pour aller sur Murano. Bref, parfait.
La chambre en elle-​même est plutôt correcte, la déco est chargée mais je pense que c’est ce qui fait le charme de cet hôtel, on est dans de la déco traditionnelle vénitienne. Il fait un peu chaud dans la chambre, mais ça c’est totalement personnel. Le lit est confortable, il y a un oreiller en plus dans le placard, une couverture si vous avez froid. La douche était étrange puisqu’il n’y avait pas de parois et le rideau était trop petit pour faire la largeur de la douche, mais on s’accommode. Le lieu est calme, on n’entend pas un bruit de l’extérieur, et du coup on y dort bien.
Le petit-​déjeuner est copieux, on vous sert une boisson chaude à table, puis vous avez accès à un buffet avec du salé et du sucré, ainsi il y en a pour tous les goûts.
Bref, le séjour fut agréable, si je reviens à Venise je reprendrais sûrement cet hôtel et je peux vous conseiller d’y aller si vous séjournez à Venise, c’est un très bon choix.

The ladies love being romanced in Venice, Italy and if you need a great place to stay then you need-​ez to check out Hotel Mignon. About a 8 min walk from the water taxi stations and more importantly close to a good grocery store where I was making frequent trips for snacks and other essentials I forgot to pack. The staff here is really helpful, they have a great lobby area where you can buy drinks and you can even use their printer if needed. They offer a free breakfast buffet (nothing too high end) but the food was pretty decent. The rooms are clean but they are a bit outdated.
Here are a few improvements I would make:
— More power outlets in the room
— A bigger TV (current size 15−17″), and one you can possibly move around on a wall mount.
— Better blankets, they felt very old, and needed to be retired.
If I come back to Venice I would love to stay here again, free WiFi and the 24 hour lobby are just some of the perks of this hotel. Also it is away from all the noise and if you are trying to get in a good 8 hours of sleep then Hotel Mignon can help you achieve your #SleepGoals. In Venice there are no cars/​taxis/​buses, so you have to walk everywhere and they’re are tons of restaurants/​shops within 5 mins of this hotel which is a major plus!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mignon. It’s in a very cute area of town with yummy restaurants near by. Furthermore, the service at this hotel is outstanding. The person on staff all night, his name was Fernando I believe, or Frederiko. I cannot remember exactly. But he was wonderful!!! He was so helpful and he ensured that our stay was nothing short of accommodating. Breakfast usually starts at 8:00 am here, but our flight was early in the morning. He was very willing to make all 9 of us breakfast as well as yummy cappuccinos. Very sweet! The rooms were nice. I felt like there was some dust in the rooms hence I coughed all night long, but the beds were comfortable and overall the rooms were charming. Perhaps just needs some deep dusting.

Good hotel, free WiFi, air con, great location, reasonable price, friendly, helpful staff, 24hr reception should you need another bottle of prosecco!
