Bell boy was nice, fast and efficient. fast forward to going inside our room. It’s old and everything looks used but it’s fine, it’s got character I thought. I needed to charge my phone(all 3 of us need to charge phones, ipad’s, selfie sticks, cameras, portable phone chargers, etc.) So I look look and look for outlets. i find one on the room and one in the bathroom. but my converter won’t work in the bathroom(i need to straighten my hair for the pics I’m about to take out there!) so i end up doing it in the middle of the room with no mirror. But i also need to charge my phone so i only straighten the top part of my hair, plug my phone in, and walk down to the desk to ask where the outlet are hidden cause we NEED them. The man and woman at the desk gave me slight but noticeable attitude when I asked them to confirm that there was ONE outlet for 3 people.(Turns out the outlet in the bathroom is only for razors, per Italian law… though at first that’s not what the man said. He withheld that info till i questioned the one outlet again. And said it with an attitude. Had that been his 1st answer i wouldn’t have asked about that outlet again). So one outlet for 3 ppl? He said it wasn’t «planned» that 3 ppl were to be in that room. Whaaaat?! I’ve had the reservation for months! If they didn’t have a comfortable room for 3 then why take the reservation!!! P.s They keep in 90 degrees here. It’s ao uncomfortable.

Literally a 3 minute walk to Piazza San Marco and 7 minute walk from dock(with luggage over 2 bridges). The place is upgraded and clean. Strong WiFi signal. Their service is particularly professional yet friendly. The continental breakfast buffet is more than sufficient. Our train for the following day leaves at 9am and the water taxi will pick us up at their private dock(15 min. to the train station: less than 20 euros per). Great place.

Stayed here for two nights in September, before a cruise, and this hotel was perfect for what we needed: good breakfast in the morning, clean sheets on a reasonably comfortable bed, and a clean bathroom. Oh, and it has it’s own dock which was awesome for our private taxi from the airport, and to our cruise ship! We had considered a more expensive hotel on the Grand Canal to get the full Venice«experience» but realized we’d be out of our room more than in it, and decided to book here and use the difference saved on cost to add money to our food and drink budget. Great decision! While we were out during the day, our room was cleaned. The sheets weren’t the highest quality, but they were good and clean. The pillows were horrendously flat, and virtually useless unless you folded them in half. The staff was pleasant though not overly friendly and they didn’t go out of their way to be helpful, which was fine by me. Location is great, and being off one of the larger shopping«streets» makes it easy to find your way home after a few drinks. They do have Wi-Fi but it was somewhat intermittent– enough to check your email though. Breakfast was included and it was a very generous spread of meats, cheeses, croissants, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and fruit. Coffee was delicious and served with hot milk! The dining room was a good size and we never had trouble finding a table.

The best stay on our Italian Vacation was at the Hotel Kette. We will never forget the luxury stay we had there. Water Taxi is located at the hotel it was easy to get to and in the heart of the luxury shopping in Venice. Can’t wait to be back one day!

We stayed there one night before heading back to the states. The hotel is accessible by water taxi… They go down the same canals as the gondolas. As a matter of fact, they went right by if we opened our window on the second floor… Very nice, very different! They have a bar and a place to eat breakfast in the morning… Wifi was good… All of the folks there attended to us and were very helpful… You can leave out the front door which seems like an alley but it isn’t, you can head right out to join all the other folks shopping and sight seeing. There is no place like Venice in the world… I am glad I experienced it!!!
