If you love to watch people, watch the water sip cocktails and regroup, than go no further! Perfect location in Piazza San Marco if you’re waiting for a gondola, vaporetta or simply nothing! Nibble on pretzels and nuts they give you or, you can order an appetizer a meal. We sipped Persecco and Beer and idled the time away. I definitely recommend.

I agree with what the other negative reviewers are saying(wish I had checked Unilocal before stopping in but needed to use the toilet). $ 20 for ice cream and indifferent staff. Stay away

Stay away from this place! The food and drinks are ridiculously overpriced(€ 18 for three scoops of ice cream, 12 or so euros for a lemonade…) and the service isn’t even that good. I understand that they must be tired of getting tourists all year long, but that doesn’t mean service should be compromised. Most tables were uncleared and the tables we were sitting at had lots of stains. You can definitely find nicer/cheaper places in smaller streets, but this is definitely a tourist trap.

This place is terrible. They charged 8 euros for just a water when nobody else was sitting on their patio. They wouldn’t let us sit there unless we bought something. The waiter then tried to short change me a euro. What a rip off and a joke

We stopped at Al Tadoro during Carnival 2015 to meet some friends and we stayed in the bar area inside and got our food and drink to eat at the bar. The spritz drinks were delicious and made with real Prosecco. We also tried a panini with prosciutto and cheese and it was a great snack. You will notice all the Gondolieri come here for their snack so it is very popular with with locals. I think if you sit at the table and chairs at San Marco square, you will pay much more and also coperto. We loved it and where else can you be on the square and have a refreshing spritz under 5 euros?

After wandering around Venice for a couple hours, my wife and I really needed to use the Water Closet(ask toilet!) by the time we reached Saint Mark’s Square They’ll let you use their toilet if you buy something… in our case a 2.20 euro hot tea for the authorization to use their Water Closet. Given that some of Italy’s train stations charge around 70cents to use the water closet, this was a pretty good deal since tea included, especially when you start getting desperate! :) WARNING!!! According to TripAdvisor reviews, this place is really expensive if you sit down and get table service. One reviewer alleges 27.50euro for 2 hot chocolates and 1 coffee. Sounds asbsurb, but this is normal for cafes around Saint Mark’s Square!
