Yummiest fresh hand made pasta, very friendly staff and prices that aren’t a rip off. Totally worth the visit! My recommendation is to map out the directions before you head out because the narrow alley streets can get tricky and mobile navigations aren’t always on point.

It’s really true that there is something good to be found in all the twists, turns, streets, and alleys of Venice. Walk too fast and you might miss it. Dal Moro’s is a tiny take out counter with barely a sign. Fresh pasta awaits! This was my favorite meal in all of Venice, mainly because of the experience. You think that because it is fast food that it might not be good but Dal Moro’s pasta is top notch and designed by you! We ordered pesto fusilli and bolognese linguine. The line was pretty much nonexistent since they take the orders so fast. The pasta is given in about 6 minutes. It’s al dente! We took our pasta to go since the inside was very cramped and sitting at the counter was not very comfortable. Street eating it was. I suppose we could have walked to St. Mark’s Square but there should be no waiting to eat this pasta. It smelled so good and was piping hot. It was also garnished with a sprig of basil. The pesto was creamy and not green(like how it is in the States). The bolognese was classic. We scarfed our meal down in a matter of minutes. It was so good we went back to buy another to go box to share. This time we tried arrabbiata fusilli with prosciutto. The staff asked me if I liked spicy and I said, «Of course! Very hot!» The sauce was indeed loaded with heat. I loved it and would gladly eat any of the variations offered from Dal Moro’s again. What a fun meal in Venice. Totally unexpected and satisfying. Go here if you don’t have much time to spare and you love good food. Dal Moro’s = the best pasta + more time to sightsee.

Venice has a lot of pasta. There is pasta everywhere. This shouldn’t really be that surprising because it is Italy and Italy = pasta, but it still should be noted. Venice is also a tourist city, so when coming here being able to get pasta that isn’t expensive is a blessing. It’s hard to describe how I feel about Dal Moro’s. It’s good, freshly made pasta in a take-out box for 5 Euros. It is a good deal in a city in dire need of them. I sort of feel bad that you won’t be getting a long essay out of me from this. It isn’t a food stop that lends itself to that style. Friendly people, quick and cheap food, could maybe use a little bit more flavor but plenty of options to add it to the pasta. Would come back… if I ever visit Venice again.

First I must thank the reviewers here on Unilocal, and friends. Landed in Venice for the first time, and excited to do many things, but unfortunately food was not one of them. I am super wary when it comes to eating in a new city, especially when you are the tourist, chances of average food at rip off prices is so high. I have read about this fresh pasta place, which was not only good, but affordable and located not too far from our hotel. So gave it a try, was first on my list after dropping my bags and I loved it. The concept was very good, easy to select of the menu, very friendly staff, even being established for so long, and a lively buzz in this slow, sleepy part of Venice. The food: Delicious, as fresh pasta can be, chose fusili and seafood sauce in a pot, sauce was not over powering, and the portion size was huge and all for 7 euros. Some things to note: We came about 12.15pm, it opens at 12, no seats, and very limited standing space. So ended up walking and eating our pasta. The queue got big quick, so it’s a popular place still. It is hidden and not obvious, but like most things in Venice, you are there to get lost in this labyrinth. Its close the main square, so you can bring your food there, where there are also bins. Venice is very clean I notice.

This place is pretty hidden, but when you see everyone eating it on the bridge, you know you’re close to finding it. Fresh pasta to go. The line went really fast. Make sure you get a number and wait just outside. The pasta was steaming hot, so be careful when you get it, but overall the flavors were pretty good.

Who would’ve thought that a place like this would serve some of the best pasta you’ve had in your life?! Well it does. This simple, casual takeaway pasta joint serves fresh pasta in Chinese take-out boxes with you choosing the type of pasta and sauce that you want. Unfortunately this place was closed on Boxing Day, but we were still in Venice the day after and so we were able to check it out. Oh so good. The pasta is cooked to perfection(al dente) and the sauce was yum. Overall, fantastic place! You must dine here if you’re in Venice.

My review is really just a clone of the rest of the reviews, since I too want to tell the world how amazing Dal Moro’s is! Dal Moro’s whips up the best pasta in Italy(at least in our adventures throughout Florence, Rome, Venice, and Naples), provides the best service(the sweetest and funniest staff who will entertain you while you wait and thank you profusely for your patronage), and delivers the best bang for your buck. No complaints whatsoever. PLEASE come to California and open a shop! We miss you already!

we read about this place on Unilocal, but didn´t bother to go looking for it. we just happened to stumble upon this tiny little shop when we were strolling around town. it was nearly lunch time anyway, so we decided to go in. oh man, what a delicious decision that was! their pasta is awesome! as described by many others before me, they make their own pasta, and sometimes you can see them making it on the window. the bolognese sauce is off the charts, but add some prosciutto! it makes it even better! 2 meals+drinks was less than EUR18, so of course, we came back at night. then I had the gnocchi Alfredo, which was good too, but nothing compares to their bolognese. unfortunately, on our last night in Venice, we got a bit lost and arrived here at 20:37 and they had just closed. :( the service here is super friendly! if you are in Venice, I would recommend a visit to this place more than Ponte Rialto or the Palazzo Ducale. seriously!

This place makes their noodles fresh in front of you! It’s small; standing room only and there may be a line but worth the wait! I had marinara. It was spicy, but not too spicy. My husband had the bolognese and enjoyed. Service was great! They let us try the fresh noodles after they were being rolled by the machine. They speak various languages. I was impressed.

We came here the day it reopened after their renovations. As the pictures suggest, the pasta comes mixed with whatever you ordered in a to-go container. The menu is overwhelming at first since everything is in several languages(pictured). Overall, the pasta was good but not the-best-thing-I’ve-ever-had. It’s cheap street food and you don’t have to sit and wait at a restaurant burning precious time. There are enough seats inside to hold about 6 people anyway, so you won’t have to worry about that part. There are a few bridges nearby that you can sit down at if you must.

Before you get to taste the awesomeness of Dal Moro, you must first find it through the infinite maze of Venezia. You would think that’s an easy task in this day and age with the convenience of mobile technology. Well, let’s just say using Google Map to indicate where you are and where you should be going didn’t really help at all when the reception was spotty. I’d spend more time positioning myself like an antenna in the middle of busy streets than actually making any progress to my final destination. So I did what any food-survivor would do – I went old school and navigated with an actual map. With a few wrong turns, bit of luck, and great deal of determination, we finally found this sucker! We knew we were at the right place because the line was out the door. In a few short minutes, it was our turn and I felt pressured to order something quick as well. The owner kindly and patiently explained the different items on their menu and even offered some plain pasta.(Note to Dal Moro’s owner — thanks for the warm welcome and remember, Brooklyn will always be a part of you!) As for the food, it was delightfully fresh and tasty. Why can’t we have a concept like this in NYC?(Hint, hint — time to come back to Brooklyn, dude!)

Great price. Fun concept. Convenient location. Especially when trying to pack in sight-seeing with a typical Italian 1-hour $ 100+ meal: p The sausages taste like cheap hot dogs— not a bad thing, especially for the price, just fyi. Line moves quickly. Friendly cashier/food-dude.

(March 2015 Review). An absolute hidden gem in Venice! It was so good, I stopped two nights in a row for their wonderful pasta. Had both the creamy pasta and tomato based and both were absolutely superb! Sort of tough to find since the local restaurants require Dal Moro’s to not advertise the joint. Two tips, make sure to eat the pasta right away and do not eat it on any nearby steps due to local fines that can tag along with it.

Freshly made pasta! This place isn’t too easy to find, I mean finding anything in Venice isn’t easy at first, but once you do, you’ll notice, there’s always a line! Anyhow there’s no seating, it’s a small order in and take out place! They even come in cute white Chinese food to go boxes. They tell you to eat it right away though, don’t close it up and walk around and save it for later! Anyways they have the pasta’s to pick from(I picked fusilli), usually only a couple to choose from, and then any sauce you want: They recommend PESTO Pomodoro Mamma Rosa(Pink) Alfredo Bolognese etc. Then any additions like extra cheese, meats, tomatoes, basil, etc. I’m usually not a huge fan of pesto, but this was like a creamy pesto, and not one that was overwhelming, it was amazing, some of the best pasta i’ve had in Italy actually. I didn’t want to overwhelm myself with extras so I just got tomatoes, which was a great idea, it was amazing. I tried the Mamma Rosa sauce my cousin got and it was good but with extra cheese it was a little too heavy for me. I would advise not ordering extra cheese because they already put it on unless you like eating almost clumps of it. When they say extra they mean extra! Also tried my cousin’s pesto with the meat he got, everything you add or don’t add will change the flavor, just so you’re warned! If I ever come back to Venice this will be my first stop!!! BTW did I mention how cheap this place is for freshly made pasta?! For € 6, can’t be beat!

Pasta at € 6 a little carton. Kinda like Chinese food pork fried rice only its Pasta and much more sophisticated. Not sure why they won’t let you take a picture of the place. No sign out in front and it feels like you’ve been transported back to the Hipster part of Brooklyn. As for the pasta, we chose the cheese with garlic in fusilli. Heavy in garlic, which is what I like. For the value and the taste, I thought it was pretty damn good. Great mid day snack.

At about 6 € a pop, Dal Moro’s deliver fresh pasta with equally fresh sauces. As a huge sign in their store says, Dal Moro’s is not a restaurant, so do not expect seating. It is an artisanal pasta factory. Pasta is served in a take away carton. So here’s how it goes: Step 1. Pick pasta Step 2. Pick sauce Step 3. Pick meat or any addition(for an additional fee) Step 4. Pay Step 5. Pick up order when called. Step 6. Eat it! May not be the best a pasta in Venice but for the price and quality, Dal Moro’s deserves more than five stars.

I only spent two days in Venice and I ate here twice. It’s that good. And super worth the price. Most pasta are around 5 or 6 euros. My favorite have to be the spicy marina, extra spicy plus the chicken sausage(it’s like cut up hot dogs). Between me and my family we pretty much tried most of the pasta flavors. The pesto was also pretty good. Bolognese was normal, nothing too outstanding. My dad really enjoyed the mama rosa which is like a creamy tomato sauce. My brother liked the four cheese, it’s close to the Alfredo sauce but with more cheese. It gets a bit too much in the end. All pasta comes very saucy and eating it fresh is definitely better than taking it home. There isn’t much space to eat inside, but you will find many tourists eating it outside or down by the canal a block away. Definitely a must stop in Venice!

I don’t understand how this place has such high ratings on Unilocal and trip advisor. Honestly it was just an ok pasta joint. I guess it is different in that it’s pasta to go but the taste is seriously just average at best. The flavor was bland and the sausage that they used was so crappy… Like Oscar mayers sausage… I would have much preferred to go somewhere else and eat. Maybe it’s popular bc it’s slightly cheaper… It’s not even that cheap though… I’m sure despite my 3 star review people will still go and try it… I mean once you get near the restaurant you see tons of people walking around w this white take out box and chowing away with their forks. It makes you wanna get in on the fun. Plus if you stand anywhere near there eating almost everyone that passes by will ask you where you got it… I guess it’s the experience but I wouldn’t eat here again…

This place is seriously the best. You don’t even need to read any further for recommendations, just show up when they open(they happened to be open before 2:30 one day even though the posted hours say 3pm) and pick a sauce & a pasta. It will be amazing no matter what. After the crazy expensive meals we had elsewhere, the bf & I ended up eating here three times in one day! It’s that good! We were given fresh pasta to try, and the food comes out within a few minutes. The pesto was by far my favorite, and don’t forget the add-ons!

Der Wechsel also jetzt von Alfredo’s fresh Pasta To Go zu Dal Moro’s Fresh Pasta To Go.
