We were so lucky to have this as our local on our trip to Venice. It’s situated at the foot of a bridge on a main pedestrian strip so it’s easy to walk right by it. We noticed it a few times walking from our accommodation to other sights and made a mental note to visit it. We were so happy to have found it! On a Saturday night, they were heaving, with lots of people drinking outside. There was such an atmosphere. The staff were lovely even with throngs of locals about. We had an Aperol spritz and as the night went on, we discovered the same spritz with prosecco and then with Campari as well as other wines on the recommendation of the bartenders. They do close early, at around 10pm but we got our drinks to go in a plastic cup like the locals. We went back again on a Sunday night and they weren’t nearly as busy. Again we had the same staff and the same friendly service. We were even able to ask the bartender more about local beers and wines. We never tried the cichetti but lots of others did. If you are In the neighbourhood I would definitely recommend popping by for a drink or two!

My friend and I returned several times to this bar, serving good wine and prosecco, at decent prices, over the course of our holiday. They have a large room at the back, where you could always get a seat, and good looking staff at the front. Bonus. The cicchettis were not the best, but you can ask for them to slice up some cured meat, EUR8, should you be hungry.
