My husband and I decided to take an overnight trip to Venice and randomly found Ca’ Bonvicini online. The pictures looked great and it sounded wonderful but was really reasonably priced so I was skeptical. Let me assure you it was as nice as advertised if not more. We felt so spoiled in our beautiful room with our incredible view. It is away from the heavy tourist areas which makes it perfect for us. Our host gave us detailed directions and many suggestions for places to visit and restaurants to try. We had the best time and only wish we had been able to stay longer. I’m not sure why Ca’ Bonvicini is listed as a café since it’s a bed and breakfast. I hope this doesn’t hinder people from finding it because it is a wonderful place.

I’ve now stayed in Ca’ Bonvicini twice, and loved it each time. The rooms are decorated in the most opulent eighteenth century style, with brocade wall coverings and murano glass chandeliers, with ultra modern marble bathrooms, and yet it’s very reasonably priced. The location can be a bit difficult to find when you first arrive in Venice, but makes up for this by the fact that it’s set back from the main tourist trail yet still within a ten minute’s walk from the Rialto bridge. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast is excellent. One of the rooms actually has its own private roof terrace, but others also have balconies and its wonderful to wake up in the morning and look out over pretty window boxes onto a real Venetian canal!
