Lovely place run by lovely people. It’s run by two sisters, but we only met one of them during our overnight stay. We arrived in Venice at approximately 9 – 10 pm and one of the women(I think her name was Maria?) welcomed us as we climbed up the stairs to the office. We had a little bit of a language barrier but we were still able to communicate. As she led us up another small flight of stairs to our rooms, she absolutely insisted on helping us take up our bags. The room was beautiful and clean. The décor was traditional Italian. There was a small television mounted on the wall. Also on the wall above the door was a ductless air conditioner with a remote, which kept us cool during the night. Three of us stayed in a room with a queen bed and a twin bed. We had a private bathroom with a toilet, sink, and standing shower. They have free Wi-fi available. We were given a key to our room and a key for the front door because they lock it at a certain time at night. The next morning at about 8 or 9 am, Maria knocked on our door. Her young daughter(probably only about my age) helped bring in a tray of our breakfast: breads and pastries, coffee, hot water, juice, butter, lemon slices, and a selection of teas, jams, and Nutella(see the picture I posted of our table). They unnecessarily apologized for disturbing us and made sure we had everything we needed. They allowed us to leave our bags in the rooms while we explored Venice that morning and afternoon. When we returned at about 4 pm, our things were waiting with Maria in the office. We thanked her for her hospitality and told her how much we enjoyed staying there, which she was overjoyed to hear. We each got hugs and kisses from her as we parted ways. When I come back to Venice, I’ll definitely book here again!
