Best pizza I had in Rome ! I strongly recommand the calzone mostruoso. The service is very good too and the people are welcoming and nice. It was busy when I went there but I didn’t have to wait that long though.

Fantastic food and the staff was great. Will definitely be visiting again. Not to be missed. Make sure to make a reservation, we made one for as soon as they opened at 7pm and upon arrival they were already turning walk ins away as they were fully booked.

With raving reviews and such a short distance from the hotel, I knew I had to try this place before leaving Rome. We went right when they opened, so we were seated immediately. After we ordered, the pizzas came out within minutes. It was delicious and reasonably priced. The tiramisu was also tasty. Friendly staff and good food; no complaints here.

Food in Rome did not disappoint and this was no exception! In the 3 days I was in Rome I had pizza 4 times, and this place was the absolute best. I had the 4 cheese and my husband had the marinara pizza. We were both shocked how delicious and flavorful both pizzas were! We also had the fried mozzarella which was delicious. This place opens at 7 and we had to wait about a half hour but it was completely worth it. Also very affordable!

When you read up recommendations for the best pizza in Rome you’ll find people recommend finding places that use a wood burning oven and a thin pizza — this place fits the bill — the crust is extremely thin and you get the pizza only a few minutes after you order — it’s crispy with a slight charring that brings the flavors together, and extremely affordable — you’ll get a great meal and it won’t break the bank and it’s not all that far from many of the major attractions in old Rome. I do recommend reservations as it seems extremely popular(in fact, I need to make some — I hope to go back tonight). Personally, I consider this a major food find and it’s going to be on my list of places to come back to next time in Rome. A good example of the comment by Rick Steve’s in his Rome book, that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a great meal in the eternal city. Oh, they have pizzas with and without tomato sauce. I’ll have to expand the review as I try more things — the classic one is the Roman style pizza which comes with think slices of cured ham, black olives, egg and mushrooms, and even a bit of artichoke — you can also get pizza to go or what they call«take away» — just make sure to have a glass of vino or one of their draft beers while you are waiting — speaking of beer, they have a red ale on draft that is malty and delicious and a nice break from the mass produced pilsner that seems to be the most common choice in Italy — but a glass of wine is also quite affordable — just come and try this pizza — looking forward to seeing more reviews and recognition of this place.

A great great place. After seeing the Unilocal reviews and the recommendation in Frommer’s 2015 Italy guide we had to dine here. We were NOT disappointed. The place was busy when we arrived, and luckily got a small table in the corner inside. It worked just fine. We started with some Suppili — Rice, mozzarella and tomato ball deep fried to perfection! These were outstanding. I think they really could be the Italian version of the Buffalo Wing. As my young dining companion said«these are deep fried heaven!» We moved on to likely the best pizza in the world! We had one with mushrooms, and one with prosciutto, artichoke, mushroom, egg and black olives. Truly outstanding thin crust pizza. Classic roman food!!! We also enjoyed some very good cold draft beer and very nice house red. For all three a very reasonable price of around 40 euros.

Possibly one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten in my life. I consider myself to be a huge pizza fan, regularly ordering it when I have the chance. For me, this has set a benchmark for all other pizzerias. We ate here on our first night in Rome, and it was without a doubt the best experience we had. The service was quick enough, which was lucky as we were starving after a long day of being tourists. We found the staff to be friendly, and the locations was great; a stone’s throw from the Colosseum. Prices were very reasonable, considering the standard of the food, a margherita pizza was 5 €, while the sausage-topped one I had was 7,50 €. The base was thin and crispy; just how I like it, and the tomato sauce was deliciously rich. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and return here.

Great pizza, the thinnest we’ve had in rome! Unlike the many tourist places in the area, it seems like the locals go there a lot, too. It can be a bit noisy inside, but enjoying pizza and some wine outside is a blast!

Li Rioni was just what we were looking for after spending a fortune in both Paris and Rome on food. I was almost dreading returning to Italy with new food intolerances since my last visit. Who wants to eat in Italy when you avoid dairy? I felt sure I could find a pizzeria that would make the kids and I all happy though. I was sold with all the positive reviews on Unilocal and trip advisor, and it was literally a 1 minute walk from our hotel, so it was a no-brainer to try. I was happy to see a whole list of no sauce pizzas on the menu and some already with no cheese as well! This may not sound good to normal people but normal people can eat anywhere. I was thrilled because I was able to get a delicious wood fired vegetable pizza with no cheese or tomato sauce. Beautiful normal pizzas too of course. Thin style. Bruschetta appetizer was a little too drenched with evoo for my tastes, but the bread was good. Interior décor was very cute. I did have a laugh since another reviewer mentioned no toilet seat and sure enough — 1 bathroom for all, no toilet seat, and I couldn’t get water to come out of the sink either. I was probably missing something obvious though. The staff was very nice and the restaurant was very clean so I think the bathroom is more of a cultural thing. Our hotel made us reservations and from the moment they opened at 7p, every table was reserved with a card so we got lucky. Make reservations! Price wise you can’t beat it! Least expensive meal we’ve had in Europe($ 55e for 4 pizzas, 2 appetizers, 2 bottles of water). Great, off the beaten path location for this staying closer to the big attractions.

I don’t think 5 stars are enough to rate this place. This is our first time in Italy and our first time in Rome. We got the margarita with aubergine, white pizza with mushroom, peas and egg and finally the tiramisu. They were all excellent. The service is relaxed and polite. Definitely come here if you are near the colosseum!

Rome has the best pizza in the world… and Li Rioni is the best pizza in Rome… so therefor it is THE defacto best pizza in the World. It’s simple logic, so go there and eat some pizza. Q.E.D.

This place has the best pizza in town and it about 2 blocks from the Colosseum. The staff was nice but the place gets crowded and really busy. We ordered the Margherita Pizza and one with sauage. The resturant ambience was nice it really cute and looks like the Italia streets. The prices was super reasonable. I would come to eat pizza again! Oh and don’t forget to try the dessert Tiramisu it was so yummy and one of best. Oh Roma how I miss you!

Ambience: not very nice outdoor area, table was super wobbly… not much of an interesting view… Service: typical Italian service-slow but satisfactory. Food: pizza was some of the best we had in Italia, nice simple salad mista…

A quaint pizzeria that makes yet another interpretation of the classic Roman pizza. I’m starting to understand that while the cooking essentials are Roman, every place has their own family recipes, their own source for ingredients, their own preferences making them each unique and«artisan» in their own right. Straight to it, the crust is MUCH thicker(over a centimeter). The edges are properly burnt, there is great chew throughout the middle. A nice crunch at the edges. There is the proper bitterness of smoke imparted by the wood burning oven. The dough is aggressively seasoned almost to the point of being too salty but it makes an excellent foil for the austere toppings such as carciofo ala Romana, porcini mushrooms or thin slices of prosciutto. The fresh mozzarella, exuding milky goodness is brightened by the seasoned crust. The pizzas are more rustic and substantial than Da Remo or Dar Poeta. The pizza topped with carciofo ala Romana had at least four quartered artichokes that were not well trimmed. There were still leaves that could not be eaten. Pulling them out of your mouth after each bite, just added to the enjoyment. The pizza piled with fresh chunks of porcini mushrooms incredibly aromatic but just looking at it, you knew the mushrooms were not washed, simply wiped preserving their meaty goodness. Hey a little soil never killed anyone. A different style from what«professional food reviewers» claim is the best of Roma but regardless, good eats. No house wine but a small selection of the DOC Lazio reds and whites. None priced above € 15. Reservations accepted but not needed on weekdays. Open early for tourist(7:00pm, some locals after 9:30pm). English menus. All servers speak English. There is take away.

Lovely authentic wee pizza place. Delightfully cheap with friendly staff. We even got some banter from a priest! Loses a star for having only one toilet with no paper or seat! Not a huge complaint but upset my softy western tastes!
