Waited an eternity to be seated for: The worst service(they just wanted you to pay and leave) Unmatched serving time, I finished my carbonara and then was when my friend got her pizza(is just to bad 3 people eating and one waiting) They did not have coffee when we ordered in the end if the lunch. What? We are in Italy! Just go somewhere else, you won’t miss anything.

Small place filled with old locals. I’m so glad we were directed here — we were actually on our way to Da Baffetto(thanks, Ken Hoffman, Houston Chronicle) but it was closed for a few days and we had walked clear from the Vatican to get here. If you have ever been to Rome, it’s not easy to find street names and addresses. There was a sign in Baffetto’s window telling us to go to Dal Paino instead, can you imagine!!! Anyway, I had fabulous pizza, the best we had in Rome. The four cheese is amazing, and there was tons of blue cheese on it. The wine was good, the waiter barely understood English which is not a complaint. We like it that way as we don’t want any touristy place with a hawker at the door. Do yourself a favor and travel down the little side streets to dine, you won’t be sorry. Hopefully you will find your way to Dal Paino. Ciao!!!

Fantastic pizza… Among the best we’ve had in Rome. The place may look a little run down from the outside. See that as an advantage: it keeps the tourists away. Mainly Italians here.
