This simple little café surprised me! We were in a rush on the way to the Vatican and stopped in for a quick breakfast. I had one of the best croissants and cappuccinos I’ve ever had! Not to mention the beautiful presentation. They also have free wifi which is a huge plus!

When we took a taxi from the airport a few days prior we had asked the taxi driver some good places to eat and drink. He had recommended«SantEustachio Il Caffe» as a good coffee shop since we’ll be visiting the Pantheon later on. When we finally got here the place was too busy so we just picked«Café et Caffe» which is right across the street. It’s a simple place with coffee and some snacks. You just order at the counter, watch the guy make it 3 feet from you, and then its yours to drink right at the counter. If you want to sit down you pay the table charge. A cappuccino is 1.20 at the counter and 3.00 if you sit down. Just drink it at the counter. I got the cappuccino and my father in law got the espresso. If you’re a local then maybe you are used to great coffee like this. For those of us from the U.S. and used to mostly corporate coffee, this place was on par with all the other coffee shops in Rome… which means that it was great coffee.
