Best and Fast Change

ABSOLUTE WORST. Wish I had paid more attention to my options when arriving in Venice. Total rip off. Service fee plus fixed costs resulted in practically 20% just taken away.
This company had made me begin my reviews. Rip off.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This place is a rip-​off. However, shame on me for not asking if they charge a commission. Please learn from my mistake.
While the exchange rate was reasonable for the time period the 19.90% commission rate was not. Neither was the fixed fee of 9.90 euros.
Please do not shop here.
I don’t know if travelers would check on a business before changing money but I surely hope they read these reviews. They are all consistently negative. I don’t speak Italian so I can neither call nor write to the Italian consumer protection bureau/​better business bureau. But, if I could, I would.
This location was next to the Spanish steps, next to, of course, the embassy of Spain.
I changed the money on 10÷23÷15.
Caveat emptor. Too late for all of us but hopefully not for the readers.

Don’t use Best and Fast Change in Rome. They don’t tell you about the 19.9% commission until after you hand over your USD. Then on top of the commission is a EUR9.9 service fee. The EUR exchange rate is approx 1.13 right now. But you end up with USD1.54:EUR when they are done. It is a RIP OFF. Avoid this place. I asked if I would just exchange $ 200 rather than $ 500 and the guy said no and won’t hand me back the USD even before he gave me the euros. I would give ZERO stars if a Unilocal option.

If I could give Best and Fast Change Espana a negative star rating, I would. This company is a total rip off. Never use them. Never. I am a very seasoned traveler & I have never been lied to in such a manner. Before I exchanged my US Dollars I asked the employee what rate I would receive and I was quoted a very competitive rate that was higher than my hotel. But it was too good to be true. I was never told that they also charge a 20% service fee plus a flat rate of 9.90euros. When I saw my final total I refused to accept my money after the exchange. I was told their system couldn’t give me a refund. I continued to ask for my US Dollars back & they just gave me back my ID & the Euros. I am back at my hotel & not happy at all. This is the very first time in my life that I have left any review on a company, especially a negative one. However, I don’t want anyone else using these scam artists & being robbed while on vacation. Stay away from Best & Fast Change Espana. They are professional thieves & are robbing people without any weapons. Terrible.

Best and fast exchange are a rip off I exchanged 100 $ and I got 48.45 euros why because the fees are unreal 19.90 euro plus another 8.90 euro plus the exchange rate is really high, the have attractive offices bright but please don’t be fool,

The right name for this company should be something like «Pirate Scum»
They state that they take no commission but tack on a 19.9 percent Service fee as well as an additional 8 – 9 euro ‘fixed fee’
To add insult to real injury they also state to ‘ask about our buy back program’ which leads you to believe that you are protected if you change your mind but the reality is that they want another 20 plus percent to change back to your original currency
Talked to Manager he said «no refunds»

Fast yes. Best … not so much. They charge a fee of $ 8.90 Euro’s for the transaction. Which is fine. Then they tack on 15.90% for the cash advance on the visa. I thought when I did the transaction it was just the 9 euro fee. I’m dumb for not looking into it deeper but what a rip off!

Stay away from this exchange. They advertise no fees but actually tack on a 19.90 percent spesa fee. OUCH! What a ripoff. It’s unbelievable they can get away with this.

$ 200 US at the exchange rate of 1.35 USD to 1 Euro should be about 148.15 in Euros. Okay, fine.
They tack on a 19.9% «expenditure» charge (brings my 148.15 down to 118.67) and on top of that, they add an additional 4.90 Euros «fixed cost?» So we walked away with 113.75 in Euros. Ouch. We actually got a better rate at the airport, surprising as that sounds.
