Antica Contrada

This restaurant is trying to be different and better then most restaurants around. It does not do popular tourist meals, but true local Lombardy cusine, with lots of fish, seafood, different pasta. The interior is very nice and overall is feels like bit premium restaurant and the style of service fits. The menu is very good, not too little, not too much. Good selection of wine as well. The food is really exceptionally good, several meals we have tried were all excellent. Try spagetti with pike! The weaker moment is bit slow and not always attentive staff. Do not wait for your glass of wine to be refilled, you would wait forever. Waiting for payment was another pain. The prices are comparable with restaurants around, maybe only very little higher, only the cuvert (copertino) charge is somewhat higher. But you get selection of realy good bread and with coffee very good, probably home made cookies.
