A small and ideally situated hotel with possibly the best welcome you’ll ever experience. The atmosphere engendered is very pleasant and the city’s old town is right on the doorstep whilst the museums and other attractions are withing decent walking distance. Our room was well appointed and the bed was comfy with good, firm pillows. The en-suite has all you’ll require too. the room door manages to let in all the sounds from the corridor and the plumbing of other rooms can be hard through the walls but this is probably down to the age of the building and the materials used to sub-divide or otherwise alter it in the past, as well as the need to maintain decent water pressure. Either way neither of these things disturbed our sleep(the window can be completely shuttered so you can obtain pitch darkness if that’s what you want). The hotel’s relatively easy to find if you keep an eye out for the signs once you start walking uphill from the Universita metro stop, which itself is just a 20 minute walk east down Corso Umberto I from the bus drop-off at the central station.
