Husband and I stopped by Greve in Chianti during our road trip from Sienna to Florence and stumbled upon Pizzeria La Cantina. We didn’t know what to expect as there are not that many restaurants with customers and this place has a couple of tables occupied. The host informed us that his mom is the one working in the kitchen. We ordered a couple of different things and they were all good but Seafood Short Pasta is above all. The sauce was light, refreshing, and full of flavors. Seafood was also fresh and they also include those amazing shrimps and calamari. In the end, the host/​owner also gave us a free dessert and it was amazing. Overall an amazing lunch

My parents and I ate here twice. The food selection is quite varied, way more than just pizza, and the service and drinks are exceptional. The owner Allesandro is a very professional individual who makes the customer feel welcome. I would recommend this over other restaurants in Greve in Chianti. They are open late, and there is outdoor seating, with no traffic driving by. OK for kids, sort of.
On reconsideration, I cannot find any fault. Go for it! The pizza was very nice with the thin crust.
