Teatro della Pergola

This place is so beautiful! It is nice to have a look inside even if you do not go for a representation. I am ashamed i have been walking in front of it almost every day for a year without having the curiosity to look inside… It is a theater but there are also music concerts, you can have a look at the program on the website here
It is an old beautiful theater (17^th century, under the patronage of a Medici — again — according to wikipedia) with two rooms, the sala Grande (the one you can see on my pictures) and Sallocino a former ballroom located upstairs that i have not seen. Do not save on your effort and please raise your head to admire the ceilings: so beautiful. The whole theater is in really good shape, well renovated.
I went to listen to a concert of classical music, it was my first time and i enjoyed a lot — and i guess the beautiful surroundings were also responsible for the good time i had. And even if the theater is old, the seat are not so uncomfortable as they sometimes are! At the intermission, you can head to the very nice bar to have a quick cake (not tasted yet!)…
