EXCEPTIONAL. Small, intimate restaurant… perfect for a date. Nice staff who explained all the dishes in detail and made great recommendations. Great wine list too. We were blown away by the quality and flavor of their meals. Absolutely recommend as #1 restaurant in Florence.

«Would be a 4 if you are into truffles»
This restaurant is quite small, there are literally three benches from which the place derives its name. Guests sit one next to each other, I quite like it that way as it’s how it used to be in the past here in Italy. The food is nice, wine selection is well thought. If you are into truffles this is a place to go in Florence, they even have a separate menu for this. As a local I liked it, but it was too much on the expensive side for an informal place, I struggled to find spots of excellence apart from the aforementioned truffles. So if you are into a different experience (the setting is very small and very unique) and don’t care so much about the price I’d recommend it for sure!

I can’t say enough about this restaurant. Although the close quarters may be off putting at first, we quickly started warming up to it and struck up friendly conversation with the honeymooners seated beside us. As was previously advised please do yourself a favor and splurge on the creamy, highly caloric tortelloni bathed in cream and truffles. This place is an absolutely charming and quaint find. It is off of the beaten path and well worth the cab fare there. Did I mention the truffles?
