A slightly charming, clean option for an inexpensive sandwich and glass of wine, this small shop lies less than a block north of famous Piazza Santa Croce and its historic church which houses the remains of such famous Italians as Marconi, Galileo, Michelangelo and and many more.
Their sandwich, «schiaccia» in Florence, comes on fresh, toasted focaccia bread and your choice of several meats, cheeses and spreads, all for € 4 each. I had the «Bomba», a mixture of ground sausage and soft cheese served warm and was not overly impressed. The cheese and ground sausage were mixed together then thinly slathered on the toasted focaccia. The taste was good, but the contents were overwhelmed by the bread and it was not very filling. My wife ordered the «Goloso» with local salami and a soft «squacquerone» cheese also served warm on toasted focaccia. It was better than my schiaccia, but lacking enough contents to make it worth the € 4. A bit more salami and a little lettuce and tomato would have been welcome additions.
They have some inexpensive wines, a vino rosso locale at € 2 per glass that was not very good, so I ordered a Chianti for € 3.50 that was much better. They have several options available escalating in price up to € 8 per glass.
They speak decent English and the service is friendly and fast. There are only two small tables outside on the sidewalk where you can sit comfortably, otherwise the bars with stools on opposite sides of the entryway are the only eat-​in options and not very cozy. If you want a quick, decent, light meal and a glass of wine for less than € 10, this is a good option, but there are better values in town for a quick, inexpensive meal.

This place is just plain great. Amazing sandwich shoppe in this part of Italy, nay the world. Whatever they recommend, get it. The guys here know what they’re doing.
One weird thing though, I don’t know if they were busting my b**ls but they thought the 50 € I just took out of the bank was questionable… Um pay with card to avoid any ‘lost in translation’ episodes.

A little gem in Florence!!! A great sandwich with the best ham ever. Run by two young guys who know what they are doing!!! You can choose from about 10 different combos and not a bad wine selection. I had the DA10 with artichokes and ham on a toasted bread. Fantastic!!!
I might go again and grab one for the train!

Great food, tasty wine, friendly service. Walked here from Santa Croce which is just around the corner.

I am in love with those sandwiches. I have only been there a few months (and this place is awfully close to my home) but I think this is going to be my favorite places for sandwich. I love the brie-​truffle cream-​crudo: this sandwich is truly amazing and i could almost eat at breakfast or at night or any time of the day really. Okay, I have to admit that this is not a light sandwich, if you want to eat something with just a few calories, with vegetables, something really healthy, this sandwich is definitely not the right pick. I repeat: brie — truffle cream (cream!) — crudo.
Except for my sandwich crush, I also very much enjoy the place itself which is very welcoming with even a small terrace and a very friendly service. What i like is that i can drop by here quickly and eat my dear sandwich on one of the wooden hight tables, alone, without anyone paying attention to me and my sandwich. I had a little disappointment here with a dessert, a typical tart with fruit which was not very good. But why come here for dessert? the sandwich should be enough.
They also serve wine, which i have not tested, but I will. I will be back for more!

I am absolutely in love with this place and would love to come back here everyday for lunch, but too bad I don’t live in Italy!!! I have to say that these sandwiches here are so delicious and are like a symphony in your mouth!!! The bread is light and crispy and the flavor of the ingredients are just so delicious!!! I cannot wait to go back to italy just for this place again!!!
Also the staff was very friendly and helpful and the wine was very reasonably priced, too bad I don’t drink.
