The best bakery in all of Firenze. After walking out of this bakery you will understand why I say this. The pastries, cookies, and bread are so fresh and always taste amazing (and truly authentic Italian). I live 5 min walking from this bakery and I stop here every day and after living in Firenze for a few months now I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my baked goods. The cream puffs and pastry with apples are to die for. Just do yourself a favor and make a visit to Forno Top. Plus, the ladies are the sweetest!

I really liked the pastries at Forno Top. I got a small slivered almond coated crescent shaped thing that tasted like marzipan inside. I also has a glazed twist which seemed like puff pastry based. And a chocolate and almond cookie. Anyone reading who knows the names of these things (pics attached) is welcome to comment. Prices are very reasonable and the selection is very large.

Most districts of Florence have wonderful bakeries. These bakeries typically serve local breads, biscuits and snacks although each bakery has their own style and flavour. At Forno Top the baker uses a mother yeast with a selection of ancient grains such as Kamut and Spelt. You will also find Vegan biscotti made with EVO rather than Butter along with Chestnut flour biscuits. You can even find bread that has hand ground flour ‘Machinate a Pietra’ that are delicious!
For every season and festival you can find a selection of product made on site check it out if you are in the area!

It’s not easy to find a bakery downtown, and this one is not only very centrally located in the luxury area, it’s reasonably priced. They have bakery-​type pizza by the slice which makes an excellent lunch if you need to grab something downtown (normal portion about 2 euros) as well as nice cakes and cookies if you have to bring something as a hostess gift.
Recommended mainly for quick downtown lunches if you don’t want to spend a fortune.
