Got this place confused with somewhere else that was popular. NOTGOOD. Only attractive due to the numerous flavors but it’s very artificial and texturally it’s like.goopy. It’s a weird texture and very unlike what gelato should be. Save your $$ and go to Perche No? just a few blocks away.

Festival del Gelato gets mad props for being the ONLY gelateria in Florence with watermelon as a tasty option(and for being in an easy to reach location). My family and I went here the most during our stay because my father had to get his watermelon gelato fill on the daily. I loved the other options too such as the lemon, raspberry, mixed fruit, Nutella, cheesecake, and banana.

For years this has been tied for my favorite gelateria in central Florence, and time hasn’t dulled its charms. Great variety and quality of gelati, quick service, and a cheerful, brightly-lit feel off one of the main shopping streets. What more could you ask for?

I would have to say this place is definitely disappointing. Pros: It’s open late, so that’s convenient. Tons of flavors available. Cheap(2 euro for a small cone). Con: The gelato is honestly fairly gross; very intensely sweet and artificial tasting. No tasting beforehand. Not that they HAD to do this, but it was clear I didn’t like my gelato and the guy working there blank-faced us and wouldn’t allow us to get a different flavor. So we threw out the cone and moved on. There are so many amazing gelato places here in Florence that I forgot that there could be gross ones. But, there can be and this is one. Skip this place!

Our tour guide recommended this place to us, so we figured it had to be good. I am lactose intolerant, and I was glad they had dairy-free options for me(«sensa latte»). I for the dairy-free chocolate and a hazelnut made with rice milk. The chocolate was like cold ganache, super rich and delicious. The hazelnut was made with rice milk, and I don’t know what else to say about it other than you could totally tell it was made with rice milk. My friend seemed to lover her real gelato, and the price wasn’t bad either.

The gelato here was okay but definitely not the best in Firenze. The employees speak enough English and I did not think they were rude.

The gelato is OK. Not great, but moderately priced. They only give you one sample, so if you want to try anything, make it count! The employes speak ok English and are pretty rude. As a tourist, this isn’t a good choice.

One of the top five in Firenze. Lots of flavour choices. Put it on the list!

I ordered the Fiore di latte(my favorite) and the marron glacé and it was good, but not as good as Grom. I liked the funky and colorful décor, it was fun.
