Villa San Michele

We returned back to the Villa San Michele after 12 years to see if our best meal ever could be matched. We were delighted to see that not much has changed… we remembered the wait staff from our prior stay and they were as gracious and the food and scenery were as memorable as more than a decade ago. This is a not-​to-​be-​missed stop for us while visiting Florence. Grazie mille for a wonderful lunch!

This fantastic hotel is iconic, and embodies what people think of when they think of staying in Florence (at least it did for us) Seeing the sun set over the city each night is nearly too perfect for words… Highly Recommend.

I was not a hotel guest so I cannot review the hotel specifically. I attended my brother-in-law’s wedding at the Villa. The location is breathtaking. There is an amazing view of Tuscany in every direction. The hotel is beautiful. There is a lovely reception and seating areas, a great patio with a bar, and gorgeous gardens and outdoor areas. The wedding ceremony took place in the garden with an amazing view as the backdrop. After the ceremony we had a wonderful plated dinner with expertly paired wines for each course. The food was wonderful! They decorated the dining room very well with lots of fresh flowers all around. I would recommend eating at the restaurant here even if you aren’t staying as a guest.

Essen im Restaurant sehr hochpreisig, aber First Class.
Es ist ein Ort, welchen man im Sommer unbedingt nochmals besuchen muss ‚
um die Gegend zu erkunden und das Hotel mit allen Vorzügen auszukosten !
