We paid 3 euro each, the keeper said we can only see the fort from the fence, and then go see the video room. A storm a couple months ago damaged the fort so they no longer were letting tourists walk about it until repairs were done. We walked up to the fence and couldn’t see crap. If the fort is still closed, SKIPTHIS!!! I could’ve bought a pint and glass with those 6 euros!

For a few euro you can park at the Stonehouse Restaurant and walk down to the old(and I mean OLD) stone fort on a point overlooking the ocean. The ocean view is wonderful with cliffs on three sides. Looking back the other way is also nice — with views of the hills up the mountain and stone walls dividing the fields. It is amazing to think that this was a means of defending one’s village from marauders. It’s a small stone fort with outer walls to slow down the attackers and it is way over a thousand years old. Now that’s just cool!
