This place is the real deal. Having lived in Bruxelles for 5 years I really missed freshly baked breads and pastries but am delighted to have found this gem of a place tucked away at the edge of Swords. The place has the genuine aroma of a French boulangerie and all the products are made on site. The lady who owns it will even converse in her native French if you are minded. The icing on the cake is the truly excellent coffee.

Had lunch here the other day, a tomato and onion panini with lettuce on the side. I was dubious when I saw the menu. There was a smoked salmon quiche and another type of quiche also, a pasta option and sandwich options too. I went for the plain-sounding panini, not sure of what to choose. The friendly waitress offered me relish or pesto on the side, I went for relish. A taste explosion. The bread was fresh and wholesome, the salad dressing zingy and fresh, the relish spicy and warming, the combination of the food together, a tastebud treat. I didn’t sample any of the amazing-smelling croissants, pain au chocolat and brownies, as it is lent(self-torture, wha?!!) so I will be going back in 45 days to sample the tasties!
