Good spot for a greasy burger, cheesy chips and milkshakes. Their burgers are average. Lots of different varieties on the menu. Chicken burgers, beef and even veggie, all with a diff toppings. Ther big, so if ur starving, burger def the way to go. Their chips are goooood. Plain cheesy chips are my fav. other good chips are the garlic cheese chips and bacon cheese chips. They have been serving these since I was very young, and they are still as luscious as they have ever been. The milkshake menu if forever growing. What started off as chocolate, vanilla or strawberry has now developed into an abundance of flavour options. Oreo, Apple pie, peanut butter and jelly, Nutella, birthday shake, strawberry cheese cake, brownie… The list goes on and on. My personal fav is the Oreo malt. Yum yummmm What brings me to eddies at the moment tho is their«Itzy nachos». Tortilla chips topped with fresh salsa, cheese sauce, hot jalapeños, sour cream and guac. And at only € 3.50 a bowl. They are delllllish. Nachos nachos nachos. I wanna eat them all dayyy errrrry day. Eddies been around for years and years, so I find its always reliable. Good quality, fast food style grub in a fun american diner. Opens quite late also, which can be good and also dangerous, for late night cravings :)

As any other Eddie Rockets, a very busy place! This one in particular is nice because: 1. The manager is a character! 2. They have a milkshake bar. I also had the vegetarian burger and it was good. There was beans on it but they didn’t say this on the menu. Anyway, the Oreo milkshake was just incredible good. And they give you a lot of it. So if you order it you better be hungry!

Great for a cheat meal! Wings, double pineapple burger, sweet potato fries, garlic sauce, chocolate malt, get some! Sweet potato fries are a bit pricey but the most things are reasonably priced.

You have to love Eddies, and as Eddies goes, this is one of the nicest I have been to(now I must admit, I am a bit biased as its also my old childhood haunt so full of fantastic memories). They doubled the size of the place recently enough and added a great shake bar to it! It is the perfect place to go before or after a movie, very enjoyable!

Ah Eddie’s, The old reliable where the other half and I go for our«usual». For me, chicken fillet burger, regular coke and fries. For him, Chicken tenders, cajun sauce, chili fries and regular coke. Usually with the brownie and vanilla ice– cream for dessert. ;) I love Eddies secret sauce on the chicken fillet burger(I think I an figure out what’s in it) No complaints on their food. At least it fills you up and you’re eating real chicken! This is our cheeky treat every now then. Too much now and less then really! Yep, Eddies is pretty consistant in each diner we’ve been in. Set up like a 1950’s diner, it seems to have improved an awful lot in recent years, with a better selection on the menu and even better deals. The shake shop has attracted more young ones in with their selection of, well, anything you want in a shake really. I did attempt a Ferrero Rocher one not too long ago. Not bad, but I’ll stick to my usual ;) The only thing, and I’ve said it before in other reviews, is customer service. Not only in this particular diner, but in several across Dublin that we’ve been in, there has been members of staff that not only neglect their customers(waiting around to be asked if we want dessert then going up to the counter after 20 mins or so to ask for it is NOT good customer service!) We have also encountered a flat out rude staff member who doesn’t say one word the whole time in getting our order. Not«hello», «What would you like?» ‚“Thanks”, «Kiss my ass» — Nothing! She looks so miserable at her job always!(I’m looking at you Eddies in Blackrock!) After several visits there, we have decided never to go back purely because of poor customer treatment so we stick to Stillorgan now. It’s a fine place to dine just need more attentive polite staff thanks! *Ok, thought I’d update this. Since I last wrote this revue, we have switched back to the Blackrock branch. The very mean, rude waitress seems to be gone and it’s much quieter than the Stillorgan one, as it seems to attracts a load of screaming young ones. Hey, I like to eat in peace and even hear the person sitting opposite me with shouting above the screaming girls. ;) Customer service has picked up too!

The fact is you cannot go wrong with an Eddies and my inner healthy goddess is crying as i write this because yes it is pure fatty fast food [unless you get chicken in a bowl with no fries!!]. My cousin was home from london for the weekend there and all she wanted before she went back was an eddies [probably as there was also a hangover involved]. The only problem about eddies is with the new menu being such good value you can eat until you are so stuffed you want to die. Not so good. Apart form that i love it and the food is surprisingly great quality!

Fondly known as «empty pockets» Eddie Rockets is a little on the expensive side to be considered a truly cheap place to eat… and it’s food is a little on the slow side to be considered a «fast food» place. That said it’s definitely no Ritz either! Lets call a spade a spade here… It’s a diner. The milkshakes are legendary(Oreo especially — don’t get as much as you used to… in the good aul’ days), the burgers will fill you up quick, and for variety there are numerous sambo and chicken meals available too. Everything is sold separate which brings up the price but on weekdays there is often a € 9.99 deal medium drink, burger and chips… perfect for lunch! Just off the Stillorgan bypass, end of night revelers gravitate towards its glowing red sign on the weekends… a lonely beacon of food and drink at 3am in morning when everywhere else is closed for the night. Many have woken up the morning after with the classic symptoms of a late night Rockets Raid… sauce stains on the jeans, a heavy stomach, and of course the give away… empty pockets! … for one must not forget about the 10% late night charge… D’oh!

All Eddie Rockets are pretty much the same. They look the same, have the same menu and some of them even smell the same. The only thing that makes this one stand out is that it’s across the road from a bowling alley. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Get fifty of your mates dressed up like Grease or American Graffiti, we’ll cruise around the respective carparks, go bowling and cause a ruckus! It’ll be deadly, sorry, swell!

I love Eddie Rockets, they play great music and have great food. What more can you want? Its good quality grub for ten euro. Its a great place to go with a group of friends or after a night out on the town. The booths are a great touch to really give it the full american feel. This Eddie Rockets is laid out nicely with loadsa windows and a good number of seats. Its very spacious and well staffed. Its a great hang out joint for a group of friends, it would not really suit a family meal out or a business meeting, its very casual. I highly recommend the oreo milkshake
