I think the Silver Apple is a nice restaurant, which is in centre of Sligo. I went for the
early bird last june with a party of 8(incl 3 children.) They have a broad menu from simple dishes to please the kids to good quality French style starters and main courses. I thought the wine list good. Food and drink was very well priced and the restaurant had a authentic French décor, which made it a very enjoyable evening. I would say waiting staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

This is an Irish restaurant with french style cooking using locally sourced produce that is fresh and delicious. Its located upstairs above a pub called the Gateway Bar and I only stumbled upon it as we were staying at the Southern Hotel across the road. Its got a fine selection of appetisers, mains and yummy deserts if you got any space after the decent portions, We dined here as a party of five and all enjoyed our food without it being too pretentious or overpriced and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone in the area/
