THE GRAIN STORE
The Grain Store is the latest arrow in the bulging Ballymaloe quiver. The 17th century farm building has been converted into a multi-​purpose hall, just the venue for conferences, weddings, concerts, parties, dances, fashion shows, fund raisers and family events.
It is being used as one of the venues for the Cork Craft Month at present. We walked in for a look at the Ceramic and Painting exhibition but were a day early and the items were still being hung. This group exhibition — looks promising — started today and continues until the September 11th.
Still, the visit gave us an opportunity to run an eye over the venue, which has already been tried and tested in any case, and we left impressed.
