Without a doubt, my favourite place in Roscrea for lunch. The sandwiches are top class. There’s a large selection of fillings and the sandwiches are big as well. You will not be left hungry. They also serve excellent breakfasts, teas, coffees, cakes. All the usual things you’d expect from a café/​deli, just at very high quality.
Prices are reasonable, and the main street location is very central and accessible. Whether you want a full meal, or just cake, coffee, and a chat, The Ugly Duckling Deli is for you. I admit I do find the name strange, and would like to discover the reasoning for it from the owner at some point!
I’m delighted Roscrea has somewhere like this, and I hope people continue to support it.
