Navan On Ice
Yes I already see the irony of the first line given our current «Cold Snap» but in fact Navan On Ice is the current event in the Race Course.
Last week my eldest and his friends went here and they had a blast. Im not sure if this a permanent fixture. It certainly does not seem like it will be. However that said its a great new facility for the town.
The skate ring it self is a roller disco type affair and it brought me right back to my skate days in Phibsboro rink on a Sunday afternoon. We went last Wednesday night and it was not very crowded the music was great. The only down side is price but i think some time i remember things being much cheaper then they every where.
It was € 8 for children and € 12 for adults. Ironically we were going to go again this week but Mother Nature stepped in and gave us a free rink.
But if your around Navan looking for something to do this is a nice way to spend an hour.
