Myself and my husband stopped off at the Covert earlier this month (October 2022) on our way to Dublin airport en route to the UK. The pub/restaurant was not open but Catherine welcomed us in and offered us coffee and cake.

She was incredibly warm and friendly. The place was warm with a wood burner going.

It’s very unusual to find this kind of welcome anywhere and she epitomised I’ve hospitality. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Covert in Mullingar to any travellers and will return on our next visit . Thanks, Catherine.

Great Carvery, family friendly, great helpful staff. Try the roast beef. We’ve been going there for years now and can safely say we’ve never been disappointed. Their banoffi pie is gorgeous.
