I’m a regular in this sweet shop for three reasons.
McGuire’s is completely family run since it opened in 1961 and has a very friendly banter with customers. Regulars affectionately call the shop «Ed’s»
The penny sweet counter is a holy grail. Children and adults alike go behind the counter to pick their own sweets.
The whipped ice cream is superb quality and beats anywhere else hands down. Very generous helpings that pushes the very limits a cone can hold.
