Not a bad bakery and café, but there are a few better options in Maynooth. It’s one of the oldest cafes in the town and has all the old-​fashioned Irish staples you expect. Massive mugs of tea, scones and Victoria sponges are their bread and butter. The staff are super-​nice as well.
If you’re looking for old-​school Irish hospitality, the Elite has you covered.

My five stars are for their fruit muffins — especially when fresh baked. I’ve never taken the time to eat here, I should I suppose. Their crusty bread is good too. But back to their muffins… They are the best… Buy some, make a nice pot of tea and chomp in…
