Fowlers is a great addition to malahide village. This used to be smyths which was mainly a pub restaurant. It changed hands and got completely renovated. It’s brought in a nice mixed aged crowd.
The décor is modern but relaxed. The back area is lined with half circle booths which are great to unwind in for a drink catch up with friends.
I only had lunch once which was a fine standard wrap buy yet to try any dinner meals.
No live music unfortunately.

One of our go to pubs in Malahide. They have revamped this place a few years ago and it’s large and airy. Their fish and chips are a very good choice as the portion is huge and comes out perfectly fried every time. They have cocktails of the month for € 6 which is a great deal. Good beer, decent service and plenty of seating. I don’t know why people dislike this place so much as I always enjoy my experience here. Heated outside smoking area… I mean what else can you ask for and despite what other reviewers have written, the value is decent. Def not overpriced. Love Fowlers for a decent looking, no frills, non obnoxious crowd. They have loads of sports games always on as well so if you’re looking for a decent sports bar in the north side this establishment should defo be on your list!

The atmosphere is wonderful, the pulled pork sand which was very tasty, and the service was friendly and at the highest level. This is a wonderful pub to eat at and enjoy both the taste of Ireland as well as conversation with family or friends. I highly recommend Fowlers.

Only in for a few pints and some wings (not great). Place was dead, staff was fine, rest of the menu looked mediocre at best. Nothing special.

We walked the length of Main St trying to decide where to eat and we chose Tommy Guns in the back of Smyth’s for its American Style menu. Was very happy with the choice, for starters we shared chicken wings which were standard good quality wings and for Main I had the Steak Diablo & Chips which was nothing short of spectacular! Very nice atmosphere inside, service was quick and prices were reasonable.
