Dun Laoghaire School of Music

I attended this school when i started to learn how to play the guitar. I had a relative who also completed all grades while attending piano classes here. I was extremely satisfied with the standard of lessons and the atmosphere of the school. It is small and the community of teachers and students are quite close. The school is in fact split between this, the main building, and another apartment space above the local post office further on up the road.
The prices are not too high and you can usually find a course to suit you both price and time wise. The staff as i said were lovely and my teacher was extremely talented and an excellent teacher.
Don’t be deceived, the main entrance is in fact just around the corner to the right and you must climb a stairs to the the first floor. They also use the shop front to access another room.
All in all a lovely place to learn music, and i would recommend it to anyone looking for some cheap lessons in their first instrument. No harm trying it out if its not too expensive… definitely not as bad a Walton’s. but then again i guess Walton’s would boast to have better teachers… though that is debatable!
