I only wish I had found this little bakery the first day I arrived in Galway. It was the best and least expensive latte I had my whole vacation. We tried the cranberry scone, croissant and chocolate croissant. We couldn’t resist and I’m glad we splurged because each item was delicious!!! The croissants were crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, whereas ones at previous places tasted stale. The scones were moist, whereas ones in previous places were too dry. What more can you ask for? Additionally, the staff was efficient and knowledgable. I wish I could go back, but unfortunately for me, it’s onto the next spot.

I wish that I could say nicer things about this café/​patisserie. It’s a small, but inviting, beautifully designed space with a counter of sweets to die for! The space fills up quickly because it is so popular and it gets a little uncomfortable for those waiting in line. The apricot crossaint I had was fresh and delicious, but the reason I could not rate this place more highly is the extreme inefficiency and hurried attitude they had about their coffee. Each coffee is freshly made to order of course but the person who takes your order is not the same person who writes it down or makes it, so it’s an obnoxious game of telephone. As it takes the one crafting the coffees so long to make one drink, having a mess up delays everyone else. We must have waited 15 minutes for them to get our simple drinks correct, all due to inefficiency and poor attention to detail. Then the coffee maker acted as though it was the patrons’ fault and not her coworkers. Perhaps another visit would change my mind, but for now I remain unimpressed. One benefit of the inefficiency however was that they didn’t charge me enough so after the ordeal I at least got my drinks for free, but not because they were giving me good customer service… just because they have a terrible system in place.

Amazing place to have breakfast. I enjoyed a ham-​and-​cheese croissant with a perfect pain au chocolat. Note that it’s considerably cheaper to take away than sit in, but the atmosphere inside is great.
