Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education

My experience at Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education was not very good at all. I took a course in Sound Engineering, it was the first year the course was offered but I felt they were not really ready for it.
The place itself is very small and does not have much in the way of equipment. They had a couple of macs in the studio but only one real Pro Tools set up which we got very little hands on experience with.
The radio studio was decent enough, and it did broadcast to the local community.
The staff were very nice and helpful, but I did not learn much at all and there was too much learning from a book and not enough hands on.
There was a little canteen but the food was pretty awful.
It did act as a good starting point for me however and led to better things, so it was not all bad. Plus I met some lovely people.
