No idea if it is good or not. It’s been closed since last October.

I have been here a few times now and I never been disappointed. The service is great and the atmosphere is lovely. I have three kids and I have taken them here many times after a walk in the botanic gardens. The staff were very accommodating for my dairy intolerant children. I liked it so much, my wife and I went back kids free and equally enjoyed it. Must be considered if one does not want to track into town.

This quintessential Irish restaurant is really out of the way for the tourist who only knows the city centre. But if you’re adventurous enough to take a beautiful Sunday stroll in the Botanic Gardens then take the extra five minutes to walk up the hill to the Washerwomans Café.
The restaurant is 100% Irish for Irish people and enthusiasts. Ask for a quiet corner in the all wooden interior. Enjoy the great service. You might even see Colm Meany, who became world famous after he starred in Star Trek, seated across from you. When he’s not in L. A, he’s in Glasnevin and he’s a regular at this restaurant.
