It was my first experience with Toni & Guy today and could not wait to wear a new look. My expectations were bit high especially when I had booked an appointment with style director. Hillary, my coiffeuse started with my hair cut and in no time she was done. I was a bit surprised on the fact that she did not even ask me if was happy and satisfied before she started with her blow dry. All she did was tiding for which I ended up paying 70 quits. I totally felt ripped off for nothing!

I went to Toni and Guy the other day for my first real cut, not trim, in years. When I first arrived I was taken for a five minute long heavenly shampoo. Then I was seated in the chair and showed the girl, Leeann pictures of what I wanted done. I explained that I didn’t want to go too short, which she listened and adhered to. I’m delighted with the cut. When I was checking out, I asked the guy at the till if they had any deals on products as I was looking for a new shampoo and conditioner. They didn’t have the brand I wanted but the guy recognised it and showed me what the equivalents would be in the brands they carried. The experience lasted about an hour, which was perfect as I was on my lunch break. I know where I’ll be going for my next cut!

Got a wash cut and blow dry recently. Delighted with the outcome. The whole process took over 2 hours so not the place to go if you’re rushing but for me it was perfect, really relaxing experience(I hate to feel rushed in a salon, and because my hair is so long I’d hate to think I’m holding anyone up too long!). The staff were courteous and polite. My hairdresser was tutored/supervised throughout the process and had lots of guidance. Importantly too the tutor/supervisor was very nice and spoke kindly to the trainees which I think is always nice to see. Overall a very positive experience and I’ll definitely be going back!

I’m usually a groupon haircut kind of girl. I have literally had the same hair since I was two years old, it’s very easy to cut and I’ve never seen the point in paying for a very straightforward trim. That said, since getting a real grown up job, time is of the essence and finding a place that did after work haircuts near my office was key. Toni & Guy offered a stylist cut for € 42. This may seem a bit much, but David Marshall charges around 35 for those terrible four hour students cuts now, and my haircut at Toni & Guy was spot on. My stylist was Dennis, who had five years experience and was incredibly calm and reassuring, and very good at making certain I was completely happy with everything he did. He also didn’t upsell me by telling me I shouldn’t home-dye my hair(which usually happens). Everyone was chatty and friendly, and I’m definitely going to be going back here from now on. As a bonus, you can get your fringe cut for free in between visits.

A great way to get a good haircut at a reasonable price. Really nice staff who really take time to discuss what you would like.

There is no chance these guys will mess up your hair! They will spend aaaages chatting to you and a supervisor about what they’re going to do before they transform you! Don’t even think about going to any other hairdressers for colour! They’ll do it here at rock bottom prices and with more care and attention than anywhere else. Above all, it has a really fun atmosphere! A little birdy tells me that they’ll give you a cut, semi permanent colour and highlights for € 55

I like to think I’m helping out a student, as well as my purse, when I go to the Academy. I know it will take ages, but I always end up with a great hair cut– and I get to see the styles the other girls are getting, for ideas for the next time!

Only the pathologically vain would dream of paying Toni & Guy prices for a haircut. Luckily, in the associated hairdressing school you can get a Toni & Guy haircut for about half a Peter Marks price. The students you’re modelling for aren’t beginners(who practise on these creepy looking dummy heads) and every step is supervised. Plus, you get the sideshow entertainment of watching the supervisors criticise the life out of the students… then feed them praise… then take it away again. Better than reality TV. Three points: 1. They only do it weekdays in the mornings. 2. You’ve to book in advance(6706749) 3. It can take about two hours, because the student has to show every step to their supervisor before they can move on.
