Came here friday on a night out with friends. € 7 at the door and a reggae/drum&bass band was on. They were amazing such good talent like always in the pepper. There is never bad music. The girls that work there dance with amazing light up hoola hoops there also very talented and great to watch. Drinks are usually two for € 10 and there mojitos are great(especially the barman who made them :).) its a very chilled out atmosphere and is usually fulla hipsters and music lovers!

On the ground floor pass by all the hipsters and you’ll come across a bar. Behind this bar is one of the best coffees you’ll ever drink. Quality of the coffee here is great and they offer Irish coffee as well! Service is extremely friendly and efficient. Very hipster vibe with a bit of an alternative crowd. Well worth checking out for a cup o’ joe. One of their baristas I believe won a Teelings coffee competition held at the Irish whiskey museum earlier this year. And do try their award winning Irish coffee. The nutmeg and whiskey warmed me right up. I had their cheese toastie which I didn’t think was anything to write home about and their pastry was good just not out of this world. Coffee is their thing. And they do a great job

If you’re looking for house, techno coffee or a just cool hangout environment then depending on the time of day Pepper is your spot. Bodytonic ensure that the best international djs are playing week-in-week-out. Reasonably priced booze and great vibes. The place is open sunrise to sunrise… The morning you’ve the descendants of 3FE operating VICECOFFEE which is arguable one of the best coffees in Dublin. Ive spent many an afternoon with a book here. What the pepper is deadly for is that each night there is a different, random, funky event on. From talks about everything(I was at «The Future of Food» last week) to African Bongo Drum lessons to Dance to film showings to cocktail competitions. And come Friday and Saturday nights you’re exposed to some of the best international dj’s on offer worldwide. Ive seen my favourite dj Maya Jane Coles around 4 times pay here! If you’re looking for a loose night hit up the pepper! Serious buzz!

Great place for a relaxing cup of coffee in the city centre. Even better, the staff don’t feel the need to convert every customer to the cause of coffee nerd-dom. You want a latte? No inquiries about bean preference or side eye over this noob’s insipid taste, just a glass delivered to my table. And all for € 3. Hope it goes without saying, the coffee was excellent and set me up for the day.

It seems that when it comes to good coffee, a strong shot of serious self-regard in the place serving it often comes in tow. And Twisted Pepper in its daytime manifestation as café is no exception. The attention to detail is often impressive. Glass jugs for serving tea. Fancy sandwiches wrapped up in paper and clipped together with a miniature clothes peg. A coffee menu that includes a variety of ‘sets’ topped by a taster trio of coffee where you get an espresso, filter and cappuccino of the same blend. Probably a coffee too far for most but this place is in to going the extra mile. The coffee itself meanwhile is near top-notch. A bit too bubbly, though it does have the distinction of being made with the only über boiler(whatever that is) in Europe. And the café itself is very chilled, colourful, comfy leather booths, perfect place to hole up in for an hour or two. There’s even a bookshop upstairs. Finally though, spare a thought for the staff who smilingly maintain the Pepper’s meticulous customs, most strikingly ridiculous of which is probably the way they tie up little bundles of rocket with string to place in a dish of oil accompanying each sandwich. Just imagine doing that every morning.

I won’t lie, this is hipster as hipster can be. But in a good way. It’s a café/bar/late venue/barber(yes, you read correctly, it’s the Boxcutter Barbershop)/record shop and occasionally also a mini auditorium for the most varied kinds of talks. All this in one. And yet, they managed to do a pretty good job so that all this works seamlessly. The staff are all quite attentious and nice — hipster doesn’t automatically mean acting self-important and ignoring clients. At the bar they have a decent assortment of craft beers and some cocktails, which, as in many other places around, you can get two for a tenner. Great music all day long and outdoor seating make it a very inviting place for me during the afternoon or early evening. A good place for some relaxed drinks with friends on a weekday.

Easily my favourite nightclub in Dublin. Previously known as traffic, Bodytonic have transformed this unassuming building on Middle Abbey Street into a sleaky bohemoth. Craft beers, cocktails, the best music in the city.

Walked in, sat down in front of the main bar area. They ignored me for 10 minutes even though we made eye contact. Never going back.

I like The Twisted Pepper. I’m a bit baffled I’ve not let ye all know this already ;) I have been a few times. Once for a gig, then for a show. And today for a pre-gig drink as we waited for The Academy to open next door. There are lots of 2 for 10EUR offers here for Mojitos, Cuba Libres, Jameson and Coke etc. They even do some beers at 3 for 10EUR! Today though we went for Punk IPA, which was not on offer, but is one of my favorite IPAs — yay! The décor it’s artsy, with some pieces on display for sale. The high-stools are a bit too swivelly for me and the booths do look a awful lot more comfortable. I’d much prefer to sit in one of the booths here than a counter if I’m honest. But still its a funky place that’s definitely worth checking out. There is this magical adventure ride thingy, be warned its merely a funky photo booth. It takes three pics and prints out two copies of all three for 3EUR. No magic, no adventure and no ride o_O

A new vintage shop out the back with the Elastic Witch record shop called The Revolver Project. I love how this place transforms from a gig venue at night to this funky little place that houses all kinds of cool shizzle during the day. Brilliant

I’m a fan of The Twisted Pepper during the daytime as well as nighttime. The coffee they serve there is pretty good, even though I liked it better when it was 3fe. The fact the whole place smells delicious during the day is also impressive, considering the night before is usually crowded and the floors get sticky: not during the day, amazing smell of coffee as soon as you walk in. At night, it is one of my favorite clubs in Dublin for the nights when I want to dance. They have really fun electronic nights, and manage to get some worldwide DJs to play there. They also have a good selection of cocktails. The downside is that the crowd tends to be relatively young(18 — 23 year olds) and the place tends to be super crowded most of the time.

This review is specifically about the pop up rum bar at the weekend. Great selection of rums and the lads are so enthusiastic and passionate about the rum and rum based cocktails. But the added bonus is the cost. Two mojitos for € 10. I love ‘The Kraken’ rum and here it’s € 3.60 a measure, in The Exchequer it’s € 6 a measure… I rest my case!

Love their coffee. I’m a coffee drinker but detest milkless coffee, a rule I waiver for Twisted Pepper as I feel awful sullying their blends with cow juice. I’ve had the odd sandwich here too and though I find them way overpriced considering their size, they are delicious(still overpriced though). Generally a good crowd during the day, everyone is friendly and chatty which leads to a nice atmosphere. I haven’t been at night so I can’t comment on the night club.

Good place for pre drinks but later on it’s also fun because they have a dancefloor. Funny doormen too!

I came here for the Unilocal Elite event and this is what I had to say: «So much fun! Probably the most fun event so far. Rory(the bartender) was super informative, funny, friendly and made fantastic drinks! I had never been much of a rum drinker before, but now I think I’ll drink it more and I’ll probably be doing that at Twisted Pepper!» I ended up hanging around after because of the drink deals(2 for 10 Mojitos and Cuba Libras) and had a lot of fun. I was only on the ground floor, but I plan on going back to see more. I hope Rory is always there!

Best coffee in town! I even broke my «no drinking coffee» rule. My husband buys his roasted coffee beans here and the staff are really nice and helpful. Will update review on what the tea is like.

For a cool night out with mixed music all in one place this is where it is at. You meet all sorts of people here, and is one of the coolest places in town, i dont think they ahve a night where they place is not busy. The venue has a club downstairs, mini club or a sweet palce for small intimate gigs, the main bar area, and a tiny intimate venue upstairs. over all a great place to see new up and coming alternative bands/artists/Djs etc. The drink deals here are some of the best around, you walk in and you are hit by this large sign in black and yellow(black n yellow, black n yellow, sorry i got side tracked)… but yeah 3 Moosehead bottle for € 9(one of my favourite Canadian beers) i think and a list goes down around 10 items… enough i think for a good night out! I love how the palce is decorated… its random but very cool, reminds me a little of camden town with big bold strking colours, and a mix of anything random!

The Twisted Pepper proudly claims that it’s many things in one. It puts on live gigs, club nights, has a room for private parties and an art gallery. Since the beginning of summer 2009, it also has a café which is open in the afternoons from Wednesday to Sunday after 4pm. Regardless of all this, this venue is best known for its late performances. There’s a long list of electronic music artists who have played here. Friday nights are great for people who like Dubstep. It gets pretty crowded and messy on weekends but it’s good fun. There’s drink specials and for the next month, bottles of Peroni beer are 3.50 Euro and two Jaeger Bombs and Redbull cost10 Euro. Beware of hot sweaty men who take their tops off! These guys are stuck in the 90s rave scene.
