I like the sushi here best, I find it’s one of the most authentic sushi in Dublin, and is not to expensive either. The nigiri sushi is my favourite and I always order a mixture of different varieties, as well as sashimi. The atmosphere is pretty nice too, and they have a good number of side dishes and hot foods on the menu. There is some great lunch time deals as well, so it’s a great place if you don’t want to spend too much either. The only negative is that the staff are not very attentive and it takes a while to get their attention, but overall I like this restaurant and find the quality of food good.

My husband and I decided to try this place after seeing that there was a groupon for it. We decided not to purchase the groupon because it came with beers, and frankly we didn’t need any. We each ordered the sushi bento box, because I had not had sushi in quite a while and was craving it. I’m not sure how else to word it, but the food was just«okay.» I wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything to really write home about either. The reason I gave it two stars instead of three was because our service really wasn’t great either. Despite the fact other servers were constantly walking by our table, it took over five minutes(with waving them down) to get someone notice us. At one point, one of the female servers was checking her makeup in the mirror. We had to essentially interrupt one of them to ask for our check. Mind you, there were THREETABLES eating at the time we were there, including us. It’s not like they were that busy. All I wanted to do was pay! Take my money! ha ha. Honestly, in my opinion there are much better Japanese restaurants around town. I probably won’t come back here.

My daughter brought me here as she had been here before and it was a nice bit of change from the norm. Whilst i can say that im an expert as on chinese food, Japanese is a bit different in that i didn’t know what everything was on the menu. I decided to try some tendon which was tempura with japanese sauce on a bed of rice served with miso soup. The tempura was nice and light and crispy and made eating vegetables really interesting as i tried to figure out which was mushroom, which was broccoli and so on. I thought the dish was a bit light on ingredients but once i’d eaten the rice i was stuffed to the gills. I also had a mug of japanese tea but i was disappointed to see a teabag which cost me € 2.00 instead of a teapot made with authentic leaves. The teabags looked like something you’d buy in Lidl.

Make sure you go to the part facing Liffey street, the other part does not look so inviting. So a generous and good quality bento box for € 10 to € 12, me thinks YES! The food really is good for this price, great spot to pop into for a refuel. The service was very good, but this place does lack a bit of atmosphere and the toilets are best avoided.

I really quite enjoyed this place, and not just the first time. The quality of the food you receive in comparison to other Asian fusion and Sushi restaurants I’ve been to in Dublin city centre is amazing, as you can see in my photo, and the pricing is really very fair! On my first venture I shared a mixed sushi plate which was very tasty, more than enough for two, beautifully presented and very reasonably priced. My second trip proved even more delicious as I had a salmon teryaki bento box which I honestly wish I was still eating now. I found the staff really polite and helpful, though trying to get the bill proved a bit more difficult than I would like, especially when I’m trying to give them money! I’d definitely recommend this place for lunch or a light dinner/date, it hovers nicely between casual walk in and proper restaurant, my only real complaint about the establishment is that it seems to have ‘Power Ballads of the 90’s’ or some such playing literally on repeat which gives the feel of a karaōke bar and leaves Ten Thousand with an atmosphere it doesn’t deserve.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here. We used to come every Thursday or so with a group of friends and ate our way through the sushi menu. At some point the service deteriorated noticeably, the menu got changed, the sushi chefs banned to the first floor and with all the new and yummy places opening up in town(Mushashi, Mitsuba) we didn’t come back. Tonight we gave it a try for old time’s sake and I have to say, I couldn’t stop thinking how delicious the sushi, how attentive the waitress and how the place felt newly invigorated. Apparently they even accept cards now. The sushi chefs are also back in the restaurant and the sushi itself looks better than ever. We chose Rainbow, Ebi Tempura and Salmon Cream Cheese rolls. If I could change something I would probably add Spicy Tuna Temakis to the menu, we asked for them to be made and the chefs happily supplied. The only thing that’s still the same is the cheesy music in the background ;-) I’ll definitely be back

This is my favourite place to go in Dublin for sushi. The staff are always very friendly. They have good offers on dishes from day to day which you can see on their chalkboard outside the door. I had a very reasonably price bento box a few weeks ago, think it was about 7 euro and they’re usually 11.99. The sushi rolls are delicious but it’s such a pity they are quite expensive, I’ve found this is the trend all over Dublin though, it’s hard to get reasonably priced sushi. Food is always beautifully presented! Don’t sit near the door though, a cold draft sweeps by every time it’s opened! :)
