One of the few shops I wandered into this weekend who actually knew what Civit coffee beans were — and also stocked them! …Civit beans are the ones are eaten and poo’d out by the civit(A civet /svt/is a small, lithe-bodied, mostly nocturnal mammal native to tropical Asia and Africa — thanks Wikipedia), the beans are a delicacy and make a stonking(30Euro a cup) coffee… I suspect it is an acquired taste but having never had it I have no idea. The beans I am searching for are to be a Christmas prezzie, so I am unlikely to get to taste the coffee this time either. Tea & Coffee World, had them but in pre-sealed bags that made the purchase a bit prohibitive(80 Euro for 150g), I shall search on for slightly smaller bags.
