I really love this tiny supermarket. It’s pretty tiny but it’s cram packed with Polish favourites from the motherland… a comforting reminder of home. Being Polish myself I have a real nostalgia for Polish food. Polonez definitely satisfies my nostalgia, selling jars of pickled gherkins, Wedel chocolate, Ptasie Mleczko(yum!) Polish bread and dairy products such as butter and cream cheese — twarog among many other food items. If you’re Polish(even by a fraction!), like Polish food, or just want to try grocery shopping with a difference, I’d definitely recommend Polonez.

After a recent trip to Poland, my girlfriend and I were eager to attempt to cook some of the local Polish delicacies here in Ireland. I’d walked past this large store many times but never thought much of it before yesterday. They stock much of what the supermarkets in Poland stock and without massive markup you’d expect in an imported goods store, if anything it’s possibly cheaper for many items than for example Supervalu. € 2 for a big bag of pierogi, fantastic!

This shop is one of my favorite eastern European food shops. Major advantage here is fresher food than in other places IMHO. Polonez is Polish food network store, but it has quite some Lithuanian food as well. Staff is a mix of nations as well. They can marinate and prepare fresh meat for you to collect next day. Very good for«Šašlykai»(Lithuanian). Always come here for fresh smokes fish. They deliver it usually twice a week. Big eastern European food selection.
