O’Mahony Meats

This has to be the best butchers around.
Their meat is incredible, their service is like no other and the butchers themselves are so helpful and knowledgable.
Fantastic value for money, a huge selection of meat, if it’s not out just ask and they’ll cut you a fresh piece.
They go above and beyond, even carrying our bags out to our car, proper old school!
They do all the boning on site, which means the meat is super fresh, and ask nicely, they’ll even throw in some bones for the dogs!
I won’t go anywhere else for meat

O’Mahony Meats is the business. I mean quite literally. They supply restaurants, shops and other joints with meat. The meat is prepared on premise and if you call ahead they can cut you any specific cut.
We used to go there very regularly since the nearest shopping mall was just around the corner, so I was really disappointed when we moved to the South side. But they were really helpful and offered to deliver if we had a big order.
The meat itself is just unreal. If you want the best steak ever, go and try their 21 days aged steak, You won’t want anything else ever again… EVER. If they don’t have any on display, just ask for it, they’re always happy to cut something up for you, or have it in storage in the back of the shop.
I also had ribs, whole chickens, pork shoulder, pork steaks and so on, and was never disappointed. Apart from the fresh meat you’ll find some marinated products, but I’ve never tried those.
Last but not least, they close fairly early on a Saturday and are closed on Sundays, so better make your way down early.
