The phrase«salt of the earth» was made for these guys. Relentlessly cheerful, they often sing me a little song as they package up my order and they indulge in freeform banter with the customers they know really well. The meat is good honest stuff — none of your sun-dried tomato sausages here — and they also have a handy rack of veg outside so you can get all your dinner needs in the one spot.

Morans Family Butcher is a pleasant store in the Fairview shopping strip. The guys who work here are really friendly, and there are always great deals on chicken breasts and the like. In addition to stocking the usual items you’d expect to find in a butcher, Morans has a decent range of veges and sauces to complement your meat purchases. I find it really useful because I’m always forgetting to buy garlic and this saves going back into a grocery store.
