Amazing fresh seafood. Well worth standing in line for a seat in this tiny restaurant. The staff were so nice and handled those waiting with style keeping everyone happy. The oysters were plump and so fresh the tasted like they been harvested moments before landing on our table.

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this wonderful place while walking around the Temple Bar area while we were on vacation in Ireland. If we would have blinked while walking by we would have missed it, this place is tiny. Despite it’s small size, the food is the best seafood I had the whole time we were in Ireland-by far. The space is small, but cozy and something about it just draws you in. While sitting, we looked at all of the pictures and kind words past patrons had left on napkins and hung up around the restaurant. They were everywhere and it give us a unique insight on how beloved this place is. We visited twice in the same day. The first time was our happy accident of finding this place where we had lobsters rolls and lobster mac n’ cheese-a true food revelation. We came back later that day for their oyster happy hour and devoured about 24 oysters. If ever given the chance to visit Dublin again this will, without a doubt, be the first place that we visit. The food is so good it still haunts my dreams.

This place is SUPER tiny but amazingggg! The torched oysters were fantastic! Wish I was more hungry to get the tower! The staff was on top of things very clean! I completely understand why they were slammed even being so tiny!!! Do NOT miss this !!! It’s a must go too! We did the torched oysters, the ginger garlic ones and the naked! All were amazing!

Not really sure why this«hole in the wall» had such awesome reviews. My expectations were set high due to the reviews. The lobster role was not what I expected, it was just lacking flavor. The service… As I understand that there are more important things in life other than customers, but we were definitely not the priority. The family next to us had to practically beg for the waitress to take their order. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are only in Dublin for a short period of time.

By far the best seafood place I’ve come across in Dublin. They have four different kinds of Oysters and you can have any of them either raw or torched with cheese and spinach on them. Jamie is a very friendly and helpful guy. He made sure I got a mix of everything that I wanted to try there. Smoked salmon plate was on point! And the crab bites were great too. Shrimps were decent, nothing to write home about. But overall I am very impressed and will definitely be coming back during the happy hour for more oysters

The biggest surprise is that this excellent place is located in the center of temple bar. Excellent oysters(we had 18 between the two of us) unbelievable lobster roll. Very good bloody Mary’s. Upd: I’ve been to the place around 5 times I think and it never dissapointed. A definite must for the oyster lover, has a great happy hour between 1700 and 1800 which makes the thing very cheap. The oysters are fresh and brought daily(except sundays?). Order the torched ones and get a free pyrotechnic show!

The freshest of fresh seafood! I’ve been here twice and so far have been happy with I got in terms of the seafood. The lobster in the lobster roll was perfectly cooked but really the mix is, as a friend of mine described it, a pleasant fishy mayo. The grilled prawns were big and juicy and the crab mac & cheese was yummers. So why 4 stars rather than 5? The desserts were mega disappointing and I guess I shouldn’t mark them down for that as they’re a seafood shack and that they do that extremely well but I still feel that everything they serve should be held to the same standard. Well worth a visit, desserts need work.

Really great place. Oysters were fresh and the different toppings were interesting. I also had the grilled prawns which I highly recommend. Messy but great. The folks who work there are also really friendly. It is a tiny place so I got there right when it opened to avoid any big crowds. I agree with others that it is a bit pricier than it needs to be but that wasn’t enough to knock it down a star. I plan to come back with guests for the Seafood Tower.

Klaw. So klever.(Now I’m thinking about the Kardashians. Ewww. Sorry.) But in all honesty the best lobster roll of my life. We tried to go yesterday but as the space has two tables and a bar top, that didn’t work out. Our Wicklow tour got out at 5 so we headed straight over. Luck was on our side. Got seated. Ordered 4 lobster rolls and a side of mac n cheese. Mac got torched on top, so it had a nice burnt flavor. 10⁄10 would totally eat again. Hi.

There are lots of positives but also some negatives– adding up to an average score. Positives: seafood as a whole is very fresh and delicious! The servers are also friendly. Negatives: limited menu, portions small for price and left still a bit hungry, grilled prawns were pretty good but not special, Mac and cheese was SALTY, service was slow, only take cash, cold inside Sum up: glad I tried it. Wouldn’t return.

Excellent, a 5 star coming from a person who doesn’t feel any particular way about oysters, I tried the sampler and enjoyed every bit of it! Go for the torched ones too they’re amazing. This place is excellent, really wish it was bigger it was a little tight to sit there, I did try the lobster roll also which was great but salty, an issue they have with the mother restaurant rock lobster as well, they have really nice fresh lobster it’s a shame.

So it’s still intimate and busy but the ratio of lobster to bread is now where it should be. My chowder on a cold night was badly needed and stuffed full of fish. Had some oysters and they were briney and plump. The wine as good as ever. Watch out for the the for offers.

Got a voucher on for here, something like a tenner for a lobster roll and glass of Prosecco. Bargain says I so I brought along herself as she is a seafood fanatic. I offered up the sparkling wine to her and went for a can of Five Lamps beer which was a timid flat beer, unimpressed with it. The roll was your run of the mill hotdog roll warmed up. It contained plenty of lobster meat which was fairly smothered in dressing which while tasty masked much of the lobster loveliness. The lobster was fridge cold which was quite the contrary to the roll but maybe that’s the way lobster rolls are served, it was my first experience. Girlfriend loved her bucket ‘o prawns and the place and staff are door on!

Cute, casual little spot to grab some fresh seafood when the craving hits. Portions are quite small, but the seafood is as fresh as you’re likely to get in the city. Loved the décor(beach shack chic) and the service was personable and really quick. Nice place to go for a few small plates and drinks but it’s a little on the pricey side(unfortunately this seems always to be the case with seafood in this country!!). I had the prawns and they were delicious plump little beauties, with garlic bread and classic Marie rose dipping sauce on the side, I washed the whole lot down with a really nice, crisp glass of prosecco… a winning combination altogether. If I closed my eyes I could almost imagine myself on Santa Monica Pier, it’s just a pity the illusion didn’t last as I emerged back onto the less than idyllic streets of Temple Bar haha! Still, it’s nice to have a place doing informal seafood around town… so thumbs up to Klaw!

It is a small small stall in the heart of temple bar with probably having about 15 seats around. They recommended me their famous 2 items which was the lobster roll and the seafood chowder, so I trusted them. The lobster roll: The bread itself was just a typical hot dog bun, buttered and pan fried at the sides for crispier texture. Rather underwhelming I must say. It lacked the typical buttery bread taste that compliments well with lobsters. There were rather large and succulent pieces of lobsters, but I felt their dressing was really weird. A whole bunch of parsley, chives and all sort of herbs forced into your palate, masking the sweetness of the lobsters itself. The portion of chips at the side with one thin slice of cucumber was really rather pathetic. But for € 14, I would say, nice try I guess. Seafood chowder: it came in a small can tin which added a rustic look to it and also together with 3 pieces of garlic bread. The garlic bread was really though and lacked garlic taste to it. The seafood chowder itself was too watery for my liking. I expected a thick broth with the taste of the sea, but what I ended up with is a vegetable broth soup with lumps of fish meat inside. It cost € 4.50 which I feel really wasn’t up to standard. I’ll be back here again to try their seafood selection/platters.

If you like seafood you will love this place!!! A teeny little shack type place with a beachy vibe serving up fresh fish dishes packed with flavour. You could very easily walk by it but you definitely need to visit. We managed to get a table just inside the door. You can hear the musicians playing live music outside which is pretty nice. We ordered a bottle of white wine. I ordered the half pint of prawns and the lobster roll. They were € 14 each. The prawns are served with some fried bread and brandy spiked Marie Rose sauce. The lobster roll was absolutely amazing. I liked the bread which I think was sort of fried. The sauce they put on the lobster is really tasty :-) The staff are lovely and very attentive. My only issue is that the prawns are peel and eat but that’s only me not enjoying having to work for my dinner.

Klaw, squeezed in between Leo’s and another bar in temple St. Is well worth your time and money. I haven’t been to their parent restaurant but, after eating the deliciously tasty lobster roll and half pint pawns, I’m sold. Klaw is a very small spot. But, they have made the most out of the space. Staff were very friendly and appeared to also love the food they served. I see klaw as more a lunch or quick pit-stop. The servings are small for a dinner. I’ll def be back.

«Hey, this seafood doesn’t smell like fish. That’s weird right?» «No Andy, fresh seafood should never smell like fish. Only seafood that’s not fresh will smell fishy» Mind. Blown. Needless to say my experience in seafood restaurants is sadly lacking having never known this fact. But Klaw has come along to teach me what’s what in the seafood game. And teach me it has. The cosy interior, nothing more than an elongated corridor where a kitchen and paying patrons happen to squeeze in together is equal parts claustrophobic yet brimming with atmosphere. I loved it. We opted for the seafood platter which sounded like the best way to test the place out but I was definitely eyeing up other options on the menu such as ‘lobster roll’ & ‘east coast chowder’. The platter included all manner of crustaceans and even little things that looked like periwinkles(I was assured they weren’t) that are splayed out in a glorious fashion on a bed of ice. Incredibly greasy but oh so satisfying bread accompanies it all, along with some interesting sauces. Given nothing more than a scalpel and crushing device to break open the shells, you’re left to work on the food. It can be tough work indeed, and sometimes the reward is nothing more than a tiny morsel of seafood flesh. But what you can get out does taste great, amazing really. My absolute favourites were the oysters, one which was blowtorched in front of us and had parmesan & spinach on it. The other was a bloody-mary-oyster and it was every bit as confusingly delicious as that sounds. Would I come back here? Absolutely. Did my hands smell like fish at the end of it all? Yes, but only a little. Should you bring a first date here? I was about to say no. A newly potential lover witnessing you smashing open the claws of crabs your first time meeting them might be a bit intense, but on second thought that’s exactly the kind of intensity a first date should have to endure. This place is certifiably approved.

3 Unilocales walk by a new lobster place on it’s opening night, guess what happened next! Yeah we had lobster and boy oh boy was it the business! € 12 for half a lobster, don’t mind if I do! And it was good too and not just your average good seafood, no I am talking fantastic fresh lobster. The service was fantastic and attentive, the(I presume) owner even came over to make sure we knew how to eat our lobsters, he was pleased to see that we did. Coming back here for sure until I have tried everything on the menu!

I have this Canadian friend and all the years I have known her, she has been going on and on and on about lobster rolls. It sounded yum, but I could only dream of such deliciousness. Until today! I stumbled upon a voucher of the taste for the new seafood restaurant Klaw in Temple bar. 10 euro for said lobster roll and a drink. While I waited for my take away in the tiny seating area, which extended into the kitchen, the chef gave me a taste of one of their oysters. Sweet! And never having been a fan of oysters, this one might have converted me into one. I took my roll home with me, full of anticipation… and wow it delivered! It did look a bit small to me, but it was really filling, had a nice kick t it too. Only thing is that the toasted bread was very, verygreasy. This was in no way a healthy roll. I’m not quite sure I would pay full price(14 yoyo’s!!!) for it, but I will be back to try their chowder(€ 4,50) and some other dishes. Even for the oysters, now that I have been converted!
