Jurys Ballbridge Hotel and The Towers

Not impressed at all. My entire stay here I felt like I had a target on my back. This hotel gives the impression that it is ran by telemarketers who moonlight as Jehovah’s Witnesses. There is an upcharge. For. Everything. And they try to force you to buy it because they know you have to.
The area is a boring industrial area filled with offices and slim picking of food. I think we found the ONLY neighborhood in all of Ireland without a pub. The staff was condescending and not eager at all to help. Likewise, I think we found the only unfriendly people in Ireland. Certainly the only ones we encountered during our eight day trek across Ireland.
The hotel lobby smells of a Goodwill /​used clothes, there are stains on the carpet and the gaudy wallpaper is peeling. Why would anyone stay here? Miss Sarit and I actually contemplated staying at a hostel instead and forfeiting the money we paid for the room. It’s that poor.
1 star for the shampoo and conditioner in the room being quite nice. Everything else was the pits.

I love this Jury’s in Ballsbridge, maybe because it holds many good memories for me as I have been to many a Christmas Party, wedding and other functions and they have all been great!
The staff here are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble for them to organise for you whether you are an overnight guest or just there to use the facilities.
They do a lovely lunch and tea in the restaurant and it is a great place to hold a business lunch as the lunch platter they provide is really top notch.
I have never stayed in the hotel as an overnight guest but I would imagine the bedrooms are really nice and well looked after as the rest of the hotel is clean and decorated nice.
