The coffee was good. Pastries were okay. I tried the rocky road, blueberry crumble, and coconut key lime pie. The only one that was yummy was the coconut key lime pie

I’m happy to wait for coffee where care has been taken, placed proudly before me by a fellow barista. At times, if there is a queue, the care and accompanying banter or niceties may be somewhat skimped on — I understand this. That being said, did you have to serve my Flat White so brusquely, dumping the milk in with a mumbled«Flawhitago»? The texture was, well, alright, with a just-above-lukewarm temperature, but man, you can do better. Just take your time.

Good black coffee, convenient to St Stephens Green and the Grafton Street shops. I stopped in a few times while staying in Dublin and it was welcome relief for a caffeine-starved American in Europe just looking for real coffee.

I always make a point of having lunch at Insomnia Coffee Co whilst visiting Dublin. It’s like Pret a Manger, with more comfort, less corporate and on the whole, better. They are quite frankly brilliant at what they do, which is delicious coffees, served with fresh and refreshingly created sandwiches and homemade cakes. Very fresh produce, and delightful outcomes. Soft, moist banana cake. They also stock Solaris tea, which is my favourite. A little haven from Dublin streets!

I LOVE this Insomnia. It is as good as any Starbucks but way cheaper and Irish. The deals are amazing, staff are lovely and it is perfectly located near the Luas. Keep up the good work ;)

I’ve been back here twice, briefly, because various friends keep asking me to meet them there. Still think is blech, especially with the added issue of some kind of temperature control problem making it ridiculously hot in the back seating area. It’s so bad it cost them that second star. I KNOW they sell fans at Dunnes…

This is a nice little place at the end of Grafton St across from St. Stephens green park. I got a decent cup of coffee here. Just plain black coffee, roasted nice and dark and strong(with the Charbucks ash flavor). The staff were friendly and they kept the queue moving fast. I am not really an experienced traveler in the EU, but the prices seemed on par with everyplace else we went(that is to say, expensive). For those of you who prefer independent proprietors: The place has an upscale polished vibe with the heavily branded franchise feel, but I am not actually sure if it is a chain. Maybe a native will chime in with some info. Step outside and you will probably catch some street theatre. Being«on holiday» as they say in those parts, I saw two«shows» that were worth killing the time for.

This is a small little café located really centrally on St Stephens Green. It can only seat about 30 people. I tend to stop in here when I have some time to kill around that area. It wouldn’t be my café of choice, but it still serves its purpose rather well. And as I’m not a tea or coffee drinker, I can’t rate that side of things, but I do know they always have newspapers AND serve diet Pepsi, which I LOVE, and is surprisingly difficult to get your hands on. Seriously, have a look around next time you’re in a few shops. You’ll be pleasantly surprised how unreadily available it is!
