Great spot for cocktails! Prices are a bit higher at 5.95 for a Peroni and 8.40 for a Gin and Tonic but you’re paying for the cool amiance really. The bar is located in one of Dublin’s nicer hotels — The Dylan. And, the décor is very inviting. It gives me the feeling of being somewhere else. As for the space in the lounges, it’s pretty huge so you can easily find a sweet spot for two or a comfy spot for six. The outside lounge has heat lamps and canopies in case it’s cool or raining. And, there’s a patio in front of the hotel that looks very inviting if the sun is shining! There’s a bit of sexiness when it comes to this bar. Wear your heals ladies, order a Bombay G&T, and get comfy in one of the over-sized chairs or on the sofa. Swank it up!

I’m sad to say that despite the fact I’ve basically been neighbors with this place for the past year, I just recently finally went to check out the bar at The Dylan. Even if you’re just going for one drink between the service and the décor, this place makes you feel like royalty. The staff are kind and curtious, and very knowledgeable. My neighbor and I went here for some wine to have a bit of a girls night on a Thursday evening, and our server was very knowledgeable about the wine, and did a fabulous job helping us pick out the perfect white wine for such a rare hot summer evening. Because it was so nice, I wanted to be sure to sit outside. Their front patio is indeed very nice with their comfortable lounge chairs. But alas, the sun had moved to the back of the building. Luckily, they also have a back patio area with more lounge chairs and outdoor couches. Just a heads up though, this IS a smoking area if you don’t smoke. I’ve heard their cocktails here are quite good, but I have not yet had a chance to try them out. Will definitely be back to sample more of the drink menu and their food! Just a heads up, because this is a dog friendly hotel, dogs ARE allowed on the front patio. Can’t wait to take the pup up here for a coffee on a saturday morning!

Came for breakfast on the front terrace. Wasn’t great. Cling film in my eggs benedict. Wouldn’t recommend.

When I came here on a Monday night this place was buzzing! I loved the live music(it was really good) that was playing. We came here mainly for a work event(learned how to make cocktails) but the bar tender also gave us a taste of his own cocktail creations. I loved the mojito(sooooo good) as well as the Bellinis here(they’re also super cute looking). Not sure if they offer it in the bar but when mixing cocktails there was the option of replacing the rum in the mojito with ginger beer as a ‘virgin’ cocktail. This turned out to be amazing! The ginger beer was spicy so you still got a kick from it but you don’t get the buzz. Would probably come back here again!

It’s all about the cocktails here! there is a huge selection and they are all very good… I know this because we pretty much made our way through the list the other day. they do one called«Old Style» or something like that… basically a Manhattan with sugar, bloody good. Needless to say I felt bloody awful the next day, but I don’t suppose I can blame the bar for that! The smoking area is tremendous and very comfortable

Love the wallpaper. Love the giant armchairs. Love the ambiance. But I shouldn’t have to wait 30 minutes for a cocktail, and I shouldn’t have to ask for a separate glass to pick the ice out of, and to specify«no soda,» in order to get a decent Negroni.

Located inside Dublin’s finest boutique hotel, ‘Dylan’, ‘DylanBar’ is where the well-to-do, local Dublin glitterati loiter, meet their friends and drink the night away, in a composed fashion of course. The Dylan was built when there was a lot of booming wealth in Ireland pre-recession affording Dubliners the opportunity to lead the celebrity lifestyle for themselves in places like this(hence why Dubliners are renowned for being so unperturbed by actual celebrities, retaining the ‘We just let Bono walk down the street, no body bothers him’ attitude). The bar area boasts a few different divisions with one featuring scarlet chesterfields with a velvet fabric in place of leather and with short backs instead of long and sat around chic slate black tables. The bar itself features sliver-framed French boudoir bar stools with dark blue fabric cushioning sat at a silver-leaf, pewter bar making it all look rather ice-hotel thanks to the use of arctic colours. I really love the interior furnishings and think that all of the bespoke furniture works to make Dylan even more differentiated from any other hotel in the city. However, such custom daintiness comes at a price and to keep pace with the Dublin elite — certainly so pre-recession, you would be required to fork out € 165.00 for a bottle of Louis Roederer Vintage Rose 2000. If you’re like myself and try and keep it as easy on the pocket as possible then you can purchase a cocktail for € 12.50. I went for the sumptuous ‘Gin/Ger’ — Muddled Blackberries and ginger, shaken over Plymouth Gin and Apricot Brandy that was like an inferno of plush flavours in my mouth! You won’t find much of older Dublin at Dylan, and you won’t see many people drinking Guinness but instead discretely sipping from a Chocolate Martini or Boradus Margarita. For a whole different type of buzz unlike any other in the city, head to this radiantly designed bar to chill out. Just be sure to have a bit of cash on you to fully recognize the value of the experience.
