Such an odd place to have a shop! its stuck on to the hotel! and it even has those flappy barrier things that you have to go through in supermarkets so you feel like your going into tesco or something. How disappointing to find that it is only as big a a big corner shop. i suppose it does have the essentials that you might need and it sells booze if you are on your way out and need to find somewhere to buy your drink for the night. other than that, Nya!

I just wanted to get some milk on my way home and this was on my way home anyways. Well, they do have the basics I give them that and then some. Just slightly overpriced and not much of a selection. It seems like this was a last-minute thing as opposed to a well thought-out plan. Definitely not a great shop for your weekly shopping trip but okish for last-minute purchases on your way home, since it is kinda handy being situated at one of the main routes and surrounded by offices. Personally I’ll take the small detour and go to Tesco instead.

You know the shop that is attached to the hotel in Spain that time you elected to go to go on a package holiday and everything was straight from the 80s, a bit too expensive, only slightly grotty with bugger all selection and left you feeling terribly glad you are going home in 6 days time? yup, D4 Stores is exactly like that, I think my first hint that this may not be the classiest place on the planet when I say the sign for the off-licence part titled D4Gargle. what in blazes were they thinking?!

It’s like shopping in an airport. This supermarket has a duty-free feel to it. It’s super handy for me because it has now become the closest place for me to get a pint of milk. It’s the latest in the string of hair-brained ideas to make money out of D4 hotels… a grocery shop. It’s got everything you need, all of the basic essentials, but lots of extras too. I was able to pick up a mango and a melon in addition to the usual fry stuff. They also do some Donnybrook Fair ready-made meals. It’s handy, a bit over-priced and so far — it’s completely empty.
