Well isn’t this a little treasure trove. Our office is just around the corner and my colleagues are all obsessed. They reckon it’s quite literally impossible to go in there and not find what you’re looking for, or at least a variant of it. I have to say I’ve tried and failed to prove them wrong. It’s like one of those wardrobes you have in your gaff that’s absolutely RAMMED with everything you could ever need. Take something at your peril; the rest of it may come falling down around you! It doesn’t have the sanitised order of Euro Saver or any of those, and thank God for that! It’s rickety and ramshackle but charming, and above all, so useful! Added to this cheap prices and cheerful staff, you’re onto a winner.

Full of cheap stuff, but to be honest very low quality. If you need a bit or a bob, the street this shop is on has a few shops like this. They are all similar. The Dunnes Hardware is the only shop that would sell a quality item tho.

See my review for their sister store across the road. This casket is as good as that one :)

One of Camden Street’s many treasures. Love going in here just for a look-see. Always find something useable for a laughable price. Can’t count on them always having exactly what you need, as the stock seems to change quite frequently. Like yesterday, I wanted a coffee press, as I had seen one in the window a few weeks earlier, but no such luck. That didn’t affect my warm feelings for this shop though, as even though they don’t always have what you came for, you’ll never leave empty handed. Instead of a coffee maker, I got a big black notebook(for € 2.50). It’s a thick one, with leather-ish cover. That’s seriously cheap! I didn’t really need it, but for such a low price, I would be stupid not to get it.

This is the larger of the two Camden Caskets, which lie facing one another on opposite sides of Camden Street, stocks the more heavy duty home and kitchen wares whereas the other stocks all the toys. Both having a good selection of insanely discounted biscuits and treats on offer. This Camden Casket is simply amazing for picking up strange sundry item for you home or office. From picture frames, through stockings, to toothpaste, everything is at next-to-nothing prices.

Camden Casket is very difficult to categorise. It’s not quite a pound shop, it’s not quite a hardware store, it’s not quite a sweet shop. It’s all these things and more. You could go in looking for toilet roll and come out with six Kinder Buenos and a porcelain cocker spaniel statue as well as your loo roll. It’s the kind of place that seems to always have whatever you’re looking for without fail… and more. You’ll find all kinds of weird crap in there, just make sure you check the expiration date.

Camden Casket is quite a unique shop, and one which seems to be gonig rapidly out of fashion. The shop specialises in bringing you… assorted stuff. Need a plunger some DVD’s, sweets and some shoe polish but don’t want to go to four different shops, Camden casket is the place to go. The shop also supplies things that you think you would never need untill you do. and can never find them anywhere. Shops like this for me have a unique charm, and you know I have never needed to buy DVD’s and polish at the same time, but i will still pop in if I am passing. At worst you will find a good deal on some chocolate something.
